It's being tweeted that the Iranian Amb to Norway has resigned and is seeking asylum in Oslo. So far I have not seen it in the MSM. It's beeing tweeted that it is been published in a Norwegian paper. Anyone read the language?
Things must be gettin real bad if Ambassadors are cutting and running, as one person posted.

Rather than resign, I’d like to see him keep the embassy and establish an Iranian regime in exile with other opposition members.

The religious dictators in Iran are not stupid, just severely misguided re: allah, etc. They have been at least two steps ahead of Bush and about five ahead of zer0. They probably have everything they need already, or at least if I were in charge that's the assumption I'd make.

Seems he has resigned in a protest of treatment of protesters; but hasn't yet asked authorities for formal asylum, but plans to. Also, he fears a death sentence if he returns to Iran.

Funny, I just watched a Star Trek episode where a Romulan Admiral defected. He was being pursued by a Romulan warship and barely made it to safety on the USS Enterprise.
It ended with the Admiral giving up all kinds of worthless misinformation and the Romulans having tested him for loyalty. His family (now the family of a traitor) was left behind on the home world in disgrace.
He had sacrificed everything for naught...wound up committing suicide.
