On the air today, popular radio host Glenn Beck mocked "birthers" and claimed there is a concerted campaign to get those questioning Barack Obama's constitutional eligibility onto the airwaves a strategy Beck said would actually benefit Obama.
"There's always games being played behind the scenes at a talk radio show," Beck said. "Rush has always called them seminar callers. But instead of being coy with the seminar callers or with you, I'm just going to expose the game that is going on. Today there is a concerted effort on all radio stations to get birthers on the air."
"I have to tell you, are you working for the Barack Obama administration?" Beck scoffed. "I mean, that's the dumbest thing I've ever heard."
The ongoing dialogue then spun off into ridicule as Beck caricatured those who question the sitting president's eligibility with straw-man arguments reminiscent of jibes made by Obama's apologists in other news outlets.
Beck defined birthers as people who believe Obama was born in Kenya or other foreign country, was raised as a Manchurian candidate and somehow brainwashed Hillary Clinton into not exposing his fraud. According to Beck's running joke, birthers believe someone maybe Obama's KGB "control" preemptively placed Obama's birth announcement in 1961 Hawaiian newspapers with a "roadmap" of getting an African man into office.

Birth Certificate / Glenn Beck ping
Good fix, Drew!
Don’t miss this week - Beck is going over the entire last year - it shows what he’s done for us!
For once, I agree with Glenn Beck. The whole Birther obsession of many here is a fool’s errand and distraction.
“Not rumors, not opinion, hard facts.”
You first, what evidence is there that he was? He has to provide proof of natural born citizenship. Sans that proof, he is not eligible to be President.
My proof is that we have no proof at all that he is a US citizen. None whatsoever. He has not provided anything at all that says he was born here. In fact, he has gone to great lengths to refuse to provide any proof. He has spent about a million bucks trying to keep from having to show any proof. All his school records are even locked away.
Not one person in Congress or the USSC that was supposed to verify this guy is a US citizen has done so. Not one shred of paper has been reviewed. Not one and Congress and the USSC has refused to say what criteria they used to verify his eligibility.
So, if you can provide a single piece of evidence, we’d all
like to see it.
What we do have are some of his family members saying he was born in Kenya. We have Kenya, itself, saying he was born there, erecting statues, etc.
No talk show host is the ultimate authority on anythiing,
What I think Glenn was eluding to is that unwinnable arguments are what the Libtards want us to argue (even after the courts have shown an unconstitutional reluctance to even hear the cases) so that we don’t focus on the socialism being implemented. The simple fact is that Obama will remain president until voted out and no court is going to demand the proof of Obama’s birth; horrible precedent, but it’s fact. So, instead of looking like a bunch of nuts fighting a battle that the mainstream American thinks is a conspiracy theory at best, we need to refocus our attention on the fights we must win - the nationalization of our economy. I, too, think Obama - or ANY president - should have to prove his birth in the USA, but it’s time to regroup for whatever Beck has planned on August 28’th in Washington, DC.
BUT this is what happens whenever a group tries to force a media outlet to discuss a subject it, for whatever reason, has decided to forego discussing.
I mean, in terms of why Beck isn’t discussing the birther issue, what are the choices here?
1. He knows it’s true, but is scared to bring it up.
Um, no.
2. He knows it might be true, but is scared to bring it up.
Um, no.
3. He doesn’t understand it the way those who follow the issue closely do, therefore he is not bringing it up because he is mistaken as to what it’s all about.
Um, maybe.
4. He’s looked into the issue some and just doesn’t agree there’s any “there” there.
Probably.
Could he be wrong? Maybe. But trying to force him to talk about something he likely has evaluated and -— rightly or wrongly -— dismissed for now as a viable issue is just plain dumb. It just about guarandamntees that the host will push back with mockery.
And why would those interested in this issue even WANT someone who has not independently agreed there is some “there” there to address the issue on his show? Again, that’s just dumb. Why try to force someone into a role as a spokesman when he’s ignorant about whatever it is you want him to speak about?
Not directed at you, Electric.
“Im with Beck. This is going nowhere.”
Me too. It’s going to end up putting a lot of people (like Sarah was recently) in uncomfortable positions. Watch the state run media ask every Republican candidate if they are a birther. I’m not saying it might not be true. The problem is the time for it to have been an issue was during the primary. Most people don’t care and those on the left are using it to make us look like wackos (ala the 9/11 Truthers).
Does Beck not give a crap about all the missing documents - passport to Pakistan, Columbia records, use of Sotero as last name, etc., etc. I don’t understand how he could just give all this a pass? He’s lost me for now!
I agree with Beck. If there was anything to this Hillary would have brought it out. Not a peep. This is a black hole of attention. I guess there is something embarassing there, but nothing that would exclude himlegally,
This is typical Beck stuff—setting up a straw man argument in which he puffs up the birth certificate issue with superfluous grassy knoll stuff—when the issue is simply related to this man who is “president” producing his records, like Republicans and even many Democrats do routinely.
The ultimate “birther” is Obama himself—he exacerbates this entire matter by failing to produce his records.
And, in advance, I will also challenge anyone to produce one voter in 2010 or 2012 would will say, “Well, I would’ve voted Republican, I’m with them on all the issues, but those birthers are Republicans too so I couldn’t vote that way.”
The “birthers” aren’t hurting any conservative’s chances on being elected. That’s the kind of circular logic you’d more often find on HuffPo.
Do you think the average American voter gives a crap about passports, college records and adoptive surnames?
Face it, dwelling on this conspiracy nonsense is a loser for conservatives.
He will be the first one to admit error if Obama's inelgibility is ever established publicly.
Even with this disappointment in his stance, he is still 100% patriot and 99.99% right on the important issues.
Right on!
You don’t have to brain wash Hillary. All you need to do is have something on her.
No, I believe she used him as a front man. Push her horrid agendas, they shove him outta the way once he's used up. Plus her own polling showed her with 0% chance at winning POTUS.
Look for the "proof" to come out when she replaces Old Senile Joe for VP.
Excerpt:
Am I not asking obvious questions? Who announces days in advance they're rushing to the side of a loved one who is deathly ill but keeps campaigning in a race that's said to be over, only to go to the loved one's side days later? See, I think this is about something else. You know what's really percolating out there? I've been laying low on this because it hasn't met the threshold to pass the smell test on this program. This birth certificate business, this lawsuit that a guy named Philip Berg filed in Philadelphia in August for Obama to produce his genuine birth certificate and he still hasn't replied. You've got a deathly ill grandmother, you are going to rush to her side a few days from now, when you first announced this, you're going to rush, you're going to hurry, you're going to make tracks, you're going to get over there because you don't want your grandmother to die before you got there like your mother did, but somehow you keep campaigning, you take three days to get over there, if he's left yet, and this birth certificate business, I'm just wondering if something's up. I have no clue, and folks, I'm telling you, this has not reached the threshold until now, and it's popping up all over the place. There are a lot of people now that are starting to speculate and be curious about this.
I don't know, let's say for example that somebody does come up with proof that something's screwy with his birth certificate and something's screwy about the fact that he's allegedly a natural citizen, American citizen, but may not be, dual citizenship, born in Kenya, who knows, there's all kinds of stuff out -- so what? What's going to happen this late in the campaign? Do you think if it's proven that they're going to dump him? That's not going to happen. But still, these are just questions that I have. And, look, both of my parents have died. When I was told the end was near, bam, I got there, fast as I could. I didn't announce to the audience, "I just got word my father is said to be passing away and in four or five days I'm going to go to Missouri. In the meantime, I will not leave you here on this radio program." These are just natural questions. I think any inquisitive reporter -- I know the risk I'm running here by raising all this. But I wouldn't be me if I didn't do that. link
So Rush takes The Birthers more seriously than Beck does.
I’m extremely disappointed in Glenn. Call me a birther, call me crazy or anything else you want- I still say there are eligibility requirements to be President of these United States and this usurper does not meet them! Furthermore Congress and the Supreme Court know he is not eligible and have turned their backs on us. I can never go along with it Glenn and neither should you if our Constitution means anything to you.
Im with Beck. This is going nowhere.
That makes two of us. After a full year in office, you would think they would give up. Even if they could prove it, nothing would change at this point.
Like what? One thing someone would have on Hitlery to make her sit down on something that would have enabled her to become the one thing that she has always yearned for the moment her husband went into politics! Hate her or hate her more, fact is that Hitlery is a hard as nails schemer who has had hopes to be the first female president for a long time and enacted a long-path stratagem to get there. Thus, I would love to know what Obama would have on Hitlery to make her sit down on a veritable nuclear option on Obqma during the primaries! Personally, I am yet to be told what such a master play would be, and itmakes this seem like just some silly conspiracy. What could that blackmail have been that would a) make Hitlery stand down, b) deny her the ability of a counter-stratagem and c) have persistence over the long term and turn her into an Obama butt kisser?
