HONOLULU -- Conservative radio talk host Rush Limbaugh was rushed to a Honolulu hospital on Wednesday afternoon with chest pains, sources told KITV.
Paramedics responded to the call at 2:41 p.m. at the Kahala Hotel and Resort.
Rush Limbaugh AP Image Rush Limbaugh Limbaugh, 58, suffered from chest pains, sources said. Limbaugh was sitting in a chair in his ninth-floor hotel room at the Kahala when emergency crews arrived, sources said. He told medical crews that he was taking medication for a back problem, sources said.
Paramedics treated him and took him to Queen's Medical Center in serious condition. He will not be released from the hospital on Wednesday night, sources said.
He was seen golfing at Waialae Country Club earlier this week. The country club is next to the Kahala Hotel and Resort.
The radio show host had been in the islands during the holidays. Coincidentally, his visit comes at a time when two of the nation's most powerful Democrats, President Barack Obama and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, are also staying in Hawaii.
In 2001, Limbaugh received a cochlear implant after he suddenly lost hearing due to autoimmune inner ear disease. Limbaugh underwent treatment in 2003 for an addiction to prescription painkillers, including Lorcet, Norco and hydrocodone.

I ate a can of sardines with Ritz and followed with my glass of orange juice every day for two months. When my doctors told me in ‘94 that I was a 54 year old who healed like a 21 year old, I knew I was doing something right! :)

Be sure to enjoy the “blue moon” this evening. A friend reminded me that the full moon tonight will be the second full moon this month so it is called a “blue moon”. Doubt we will see it here in FL as clouds are moving in this afternoon. Guess you will be having more “white pearly dew drops” up in CT soon, but perhaps you will get to see the moon tonight regardless. :)

I’ve been having a hard time finding any current news at all about how he is doing, so I thank you for posting that GOOD news. What a scare he gave us!
I haven't had the radio on since, so I don't know if they're still stating this. It's making me nervous that I don't hear it or read it anywhere else.

Hmmmmm........well, let’s just hope that it was an accurate report. Being that it is New Year’s Eve and a holiday tomorrow, then a weekend before his show on Monday, I am thinking news of his condition, release from the hospital, etc., may be hard to come by. I’ve been watching his website for updates, but the report hasn’t changed since this morning.
That is wonderful, wonderful news. Can you give a source for that because I want to quote it in other places?
