HONOLULU -- Conservative radio talk host Rush Limbaugh was rushed to a Honolulu hospital on Wednesday afternoon with chest pains, sources told KITV.
Paramedics responded to the call at 2:41 p.m. at the Kahala Hotel and Resort.

Paramedics treated him and took him to Queen's Medical Center in serious condition. He will not be released from the hospital on Wednesday night, sources said.
He was seen golfing at Waialae Country Club earlier this week. The country club is next to the Kahala Hotel and Resort.
The radio show host had been in the islands during the holidays. Coincidentally, his visit comes at a time when two of the nation's most powerful Democrats, President Barack Obama and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, are also staying in Hawaii.
In 2001, Limbaugh received a cochlear implant after he suddenly lost hearing due to autoimmune inner ear disease. Limbaugh underwent treatment in 2003 for an addiction to prescription painkillers, including Lorcet, Norco and hydrocodone.
Hope he has a platoon of body guards.
Good news!
Thank you very much for posting this update.
Godspeed Rush, I hope you feel better by morning.
Sssso verrry sad, yes...A TRAGEDY you might say, yessss....!
Taking medication for a back problem. Hmmmm, he isn’t back on the “pills” again, is he? I hope this man is OK, America needs him.
Glad he is staying in the hospital overnight, that way he can be monitored closely. Thank God he is gonna be Ok.
Prayers up! Recover speedily, Rush!
I hope he hasn’t gone back to painkillers either.
Still, good to know he’s alert and everything.
I love you Rush! Please don’t die!

I think he may be OK. The Dr’s can do much for the heart.
There are non-narcotics pain relievers that he could be taking. But if he needs narcotics for a short period of time, say for a heart attack, he shouldn't be denied them. Opiates like morphine relieve stress on the heart.
Keep him alive now; fix any drug issues later! :)
