A Muslim spokesman was interviewed on Fox this AM. When asked if he thought that full-body scanners at airports would improve security, he replied that Muslims would never stand for them because they would show the bodies of Muslim women. The interviewer let that pass without any protest.
ROTFLOL!
Well, then we'll have to have a separate line for our wonderful Muslim friends so we can continue to shove "politically correct" so far up America's A$$ that it has a nosebleed.

So no famous people would dare fly regular airlines any more.
Unless you're a muzzlim...than you get to bypass all security procedures, including metal scanners, pat downs, and heaven (or Allah) forbid that you should be required to remove your headdress.
Let a little gray haired 85 yr old white woman in a wheel chair try to get away without removing her hat, and she would be slammed out of her wheel chair, onto the ground and hauled away by beefy security guards.
Other than that, the security procedures are the same. sarc/
As a grandma who got patted down in order to pick my daughter up at O’Hare airport on Sunday (the other grandma booked a 9 year old “unaccompanied minor” thru O’Hare with a layover!!!!), I would have rather had the scanner, too.
And, I’d rather all those Arabic, black, and Pakistanian/Indian men were scanned, also.
I don’t like to fly, but I do like to go places I couldn’t go otherwise - like St. Martin in January. I’m not going to let some crazy men keep me from the sun and warm water. And, definitely not from my granddaughter.
I was victim of a “no alarm” and “random” body search. The woman was young, and polite, but the pat-down was still intrusive. However, it did not include what could easily be considered the best areas for smuggling explosives - the “swimsuit areas.”
Bodies are made up of pretty generic parts and xrays and scans won’t show enough detail to be identifiable. I’m not sure how successful they’d be in the case of smuggling in body folds and cavities.

I’m not giving into the PC crowd. When 60+ year old grandmothers start performing acts of terrorism against Americans, I might consider it then.
I, also a grandma, have only been patted down once. It was by a black woman who was so nervous and jittery you would have though I was some kind of wild animal. She lightly patted my groin area and then came up to my waist where her hand encountered my plastic telephone clip that I had clipped on my waist band. She almost shrieked and drew back in horror as if she had found me pointing a gun at her.
It was so funny it made me laugh out loud. I was a terrorist alright, I terrified her.
“Ok buy you own airlines and no one but muslim will fly on it. That will solve the problem”
Fine, let them have their own airlines. Not allowed to fly in USA though unless they conform to USA rules.

I probably won't. There are a lot of oppressive government regulations that doesn't affect me directly, but it's necessary to voice opposition to it anyhow on principle, because if we don't rise up against it, there will come a time when it's too late. Ask the Jews in Germany in the 1930's about that, if you can find any of the few that were allowed to live.

Once more, we’ll have to accomodate them, “sort of”.....
They will willingly look ‘hardline’ at the beginning, like with this statement....then they’ll let it play out, then when it looks like we’re not buckling to them, they’ll relent a bit and make it clear they’re accomodating US, and once more they’ll look like the tolerant ones.
The Flying Imams managed to extract money from whatever airline it was they sued and got “go away” money from....
if it happens again, or if they’re able to eliminate the full body scanners, we have only ourseves to blame.
THIS is just ONE MORE “ISSUE” which should generate LETTERS, EMAILS, FAXES, etc. FROM THE AMERICAN PEOPLE TO ALL AIRLINES, THE TSB, and HOMELAND SECURITY -—RIGHT NOW.
Before they ‘make a decision’ on it.ANYONE actually up for doing the real work this will require?

Nah, too simple. Would that it were this easy to keep muslims out of the airports.
