Two of the four leaders allegedly behind the al Qaeda plot to blow up a Northwest Airlines passenger jet over Detroit were released by the U.S. from the Guantanamo prison in November, 2007, ABC News is reporting, quoting American officials and citing Department of Defense documents.

...an “art therapy rehabilitation program”
Evidently, you can write this sh!t...
Sigh - now they are going to blame Bush...

I don’t buy this news release at all. Just too coincidental that right before bo’s speech aq claims responsibilty for crotch rocket bomber and now, suddenly, msm says he was trained by Gitmo muzzies released in 2007. I would have to see documentation of this to buy it.
Come on ... they knew this was coming. US agencies were all tipped off. Something is seriously WRONG here.

Father of Nigerian terror suspect sought government help to no avail before airline attack
AP ^ | December 28, 2009 | JON GAMBRELL
LAGOS, Nigeria (AP) The Nigerian man accused of trying to bomb a U.S. airliner cut off all ties with his relatives until they awoke to news of the attempted Christmas Day attack, the family said Monday.
Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab’s father first reached out to Nigerian security agencies two months ago and a month later to foreign security agencies about his concerns that his son had disappeared and ceased contact with the family, the family said in a statement. U.S. authorities said that in November, Abdulmutallab’s father visited the U.S. embassy in Abuja, Nigeria, to discuss his concerns about his son’s religious beliefs.

A U.S. official in Washington said the father’s concerns were shared among those in the embassy, including liaison personnel from other agencies based there, such as the FBI. The alert was then relayed to Washington and again shared among agencies such as the State, Justice and Homeland Security departments, said the official, who spoke on condition of anonymity because he was not authorized to discuss the investigation.

Bush was a disaster regarding Muslim terrorism and ESPECIALLY the Saudis. Why do you think we’re at the point we’re at now?
The Art Class of Creative bomb Making?
I believe they were supposed to go to a saudi prison
Rush's "stack of stuff" is going to be huge. "Art therapy" alone could consume his first two days back.
Libs: “The only reason they felt that terrorism was their only option is because of the foreign policy of the Bush administration. If we had left them alone, these men would have been peace loving members of our world community.”
These scum should have never made it to Gitmo alive.
Oops sorry, we are too civilized.
*ping*
Of course this was coming.
Why not release them all you Traitors?
The hubris in this Government regarding such an important issue is mind-blowing for me?!
The only “Art Therapy” class these guys should have been put through would be having a canvas hanging behind them when the OOD yells the word “Fire!”
Frame that and put it on display for the anti-Gitmo crowd, I’d rather see that than the Virgin Mary soaking in urine any day.
Creative costuming of plastic explosives.
It is part of our catch and release program. It appears these guys did not get the word that we are closing down Gitmo and that we have a new President and that we are more liked now in the world.
This is hugh. Seriesly. Gitmo must remain open and nobody else gets out or they will turn around and kill U.S. AQ knows how stupid this administration is and so do we but our hands our tied.
Because we pretended there was no threat from 1993 to 2001. That's why.
