December 20, 2009

Washington, D.C. - U.S. Senator Olympia J. Snowe (R-Maine) released the following statement today on the status of the health reform legislation currently pending before the United States Senate: “Having been fully immersed in this issue for this entire year and as the only Republican to vote for health reform in the Finance Committee, I deeply regret that I cannot support the pending Senate legislation as it currently stands, given my continued concerns with the measure and an artificial and arbitrary deadline of completing the bill before Christmas that is shortchanging the process on this monumental and trans-generational effort.

Snowe could have voted no in committee and kept this monster from ever affecting our lives.

If Snowe had voted no in committee what would have happened? Could she have kept it from coming to the floor for debate?

...so your argument is void of substance.

OK,then. Why don't you wave your magic wand driving them both out of the Senate and see what you get as replacements.

Good God,you guys just don't get it.NEW ENGLAND IS LOST! LOST....LOST....LOST! The *VERY* best we can hope for from New England is an *occasional* reasonable vote. You'll *never* get that from a New England RAT.Chances are you'll occasionally get that from a New England RINO.

It's *JUST THAT SIMPLE*.

Well well, the SS decides to let some of the Jewish children live.

How effing decent of them.

Perhaps we shouldn't put them on trial after all.

Yes. When she voted she said that she believed we “should move the process along”. She had to know that the rats would get their votes one way or another after it was out of committee.

Now we know just what a stinker this bill is. Snowe, Collins, Dean and the Seattle Times editorial board are all agin it. It must stink to high heaven.

Well their vote isn’t needed. If it was...

Who the heck knows. I wouldn’t bet against one of them caving in that situation.

You should never mention politicians and Dog Crap in the same sentence.

And, we should all issue apologies to Dog Crap everywhere.

Maybe DC will be snowed in and Sen. Byrd will have a gout attack and won't be able to show up. His senility doesn't seem to keep him from appearing when needed.

One can only hope.......

They probably have him propped up with a bottle of bourbon in a broom closet somewhere in the senate building so he's sure to be around to vote if the weather gets impossible.
