Washington, D.C. - U.S. Senator Olympia J. Snowe (R-Maine) released the following statement today on the status of the health reform legislation currently pending before the United States Senate: “Having been fully immersed in this issue for this entire year and as the only Republican to vote for health reform in the Finance Committee, I deeply regret that I cannot support the pending Senate legislation as it currently stands, given my continued concerns with the measure and an artificial and arbitrary deadline of completing the bill before Christmas that is shortchanging the process on this monumental and trans-generational effort.

Now that they helped to get it here and know that it will pass without them, they will vote no to keep from getting voted out of office next time around. I’m finding it difficult to tell the difference between a politician and a pile of dog crap.

Very good news.Let this be a lesson to all you who said a year or two ago "Chaffee's a scumbag...let's get rid of him".RINOs like Chafee,Snowe and Collins vote correctly at least occasionally if not regularly.As a lifelong New Englander I promise you that at least here the likes of those three are the ***BEST*** you'll ever see being sent to DC.
If you need confirmation,just look at the voting record of the filthbag that replaced Chafee recently and,I assure,that *any* RAT who might replace the likes of Snowe or Collins would be *far* worse than they ever dreamed of being.
