Free Republic is a fringe right-wing Christian fundamentalist site

Free Republic is a fringe right-wing Christian fundamentalist site... or so they say... and they might even be right.

We don't go for any of that godless left-wing big government socialist malarkey. And we do put our faith and trust in God, not government. We are pro-God, pro-Life, pro-Family, pro-Country and pro-Liberty.

We do not believe that government or science knows what's best for us or our children. We will make our own decisions thank you very much.

Every once in a while some group of posters get together and try to bend Free Republic to their will. Now, we tend to be pretty free-wheeling around here and will take a lot of guff and a lot of obnoxious insults from a lot of people, but eventually a breaking point is reached.

For example, when a group of RINO lovers recently banded together to try to force FR to accept an abortionist/gay rights RINO as our presidential candidate, they soon found themselves on the outs.

And a few years ago a group of evolutionists tried to force FR over to their way of thinking and they soon found themselves on the outs.

FR is a pro-God, pro-Creator, pro-Life, pro-Liberty site.

And now we have yet another group of Darwinists trying to have their Darwinist way with us. Well, as I've said before what doesn't kill us will only make us stronger.

Darwin Central has again declared war on FR. They have ping lists and email lists and will try to pull away as many FReepers as they possibly can. So be it. Those who would rather go with Darwin, please go. I sure as hell won't try to stop you.

FR will remain a pro-God, pro-Life, pro-Liberty, pro-Creator conservative site.

We wholeheartedly believe that our unalienable rights are a gift from God our Creator not from man or government. And no man, no government will ever deprive us of same.

Keep your powder dry.

Actually, most Christians I know don’t like the *X* abbreviation for *Christ*.

They feel it’s nor respectful enough.

I am aware of that. However, they are mistaken. It is an abbreviation using the Greek letter chi, the first letter in the Greek word xristos.

I was once a chr*stian, and I was also in school where I had to take lots of notes, and quickly. The "X" is, or should be, a legitimate abbreviation with no negative connotations. It is for that reason that I don't use it. Unfortunately, most people don't see it that way.

No doubt, but it’s considered by some the lazy way out.

I know what it means and why, I just won’t use it.

Ever.....

Finally -- did you mean Exodus 4:24, or Exodus 24 about Moses?

Was wondering about that myself.

He can't be much of an author or one that anyone would ever find to be worth reading what he wrote about anything if he can't even get his references and facts straight about anything. It is quite clear that he doesn't even know anything about Scripture well enough to even comment cogently.

Most people who post to FR can keep their facts straight. Maybe that's why he feels so out of place around here. I honestly don't care how long he says he's been around here.

You demonstrate that you simply do not believe in the rights of others to freely express themselves, and you seem to engage in some perverse joy by posting inflammatory graphics from outside forums, and attack those who are unwilling to drink your particular brand of koolaid.

"If you’ve never heard the term “Christian Taliban” before, you haven’t been doing reconnaissance on the Left: they use the phrase quite often. You really SHOULD look at what the other side does, says, and thinks: it allows you to learn their patterns, and get inside their decision loop."

Thanks for the advice; but honestly, I don't need to know more about the left or their slimy activities than I already know. That they lie, distort and try to humiliate is well known to me. I needn't continue an education I have; their tactics do not change.

My surprise is more that I hear the phrase used here on FR and in conversation with respect to a fellow FReeper...it dismays me that the tactics used by them are also used here at times...it is like hearing someone here use the term teabagger; it is a term of which I am aware but usually associate with the despicable tactics and terminology of leftists, not FReepers ...

So was the FReeper.

He made some comment about the link that wagglebee posted about what is going on over at DC being a members only thread and wanted to know how he got hold of it.

It wasn’t. The links that go to their members only threads send you to a page to sign in on.

This one didn’t, yet.

But it’s too late now.

Hmm... I thought we were talking about free speech.

I absolutely believe in the right of free speech, what I oppose is this absurd idea that Free Republic is some sort of open forum for people to post whatever they want and I especially oppose those who accuse the owner of Free Republic of launching a "jihad".

As far as the graphic, are you saying that you intended for it to be inflammatory?

Type louder, maybe it will be true someday...

It's YOUR typing before today that showed the truth. It's not a someday, it's a yesterday. Denying always follows exposure. So, timewise, you are on 'target'.

And just who created and posted the inflammatory graphic for all to see in the first place?

Yep I reckon so. I love that word “reckon”.

I teach it the way I teach any other class. The evidence is the same as yours, our interpretation of the evidence is different. Of course there is also evidence of dinosaurs existing even until much more recent history (Bishop Bell’s engraved tomb, cave drawings, historical stories, etc)

You’re actually on to something: after all, not all of us are Social Conservatives, some of us believe in small government, period, and not government pushing ANY social theories, no matter how benign. . . Nose of the camel, and all that follows. .

As more forces united to weaken our social conservatism, the more they replaced it with giant and all powerful government, in fact, only their capture of our government could give them the force and power it took to marginalise the social conservatives, most of the lefts gains were from about 1935 to 1975 but social conservatives slowed their growth a little by getting Ronald Reagan in office.

Social conservatives created this nation, can we bring it back to it's pre sixties ways? no, the 1965 immigration act and the destruction of the American culture won't allow that future, but still, social conservatives can slow the growth of the pro-government, anti social conservative movement.

The left and right in America is pretty much the division of the social conservatives (traditional America), and the anti social conservatives (the last 80 years).
