Free Republic is a fringe right-wing Christian fundamentalist site
12/11/2009 | Jim Robinson

Posted on 12/11/2009 5:57:16 PM PST by Jim Robinson

Free Republic is a fringe right-wing Christian fundamentalist site... or so they say... and they might even be right.

We don't go for any of that godless left-wing big government socialist malarkey. And we do put our faith and trust in God, not government. We are pro-God, pro-Life, pro-Family, pro-Country and pro-Liberty.

We do not believe that government or science knows what's best for us or our children. We will make our own decisions thank you very much.

Every once in a while some group of posters get together and try to bend Free Republic to their will. Now, we tend to be pretty free-wheeling around here and will take a lot of guff and a lot of obnoxious insults from a lot of people, but eventually a breaking point is reached.

For example, when a group of RINO lovers recently banded together to try to force FR to accept an abortionist/gay rights RINO as our presidential candidate, they soon found themselves on the outs.

And a few years ago a group of evolutionists tried to force FR over to their way of thinking and they soon found themselves on the outs.

FR is a pro-God, pro-Creator, pro-Life, pro-Liberty site.

And now we have yet another group of Darwinists trying to have their Darwinist way with us. Well, as I've said before what doesn't kill us will only make us stronger.

Darwin Central has again declared war on FR. They have ping lists and email lists and will try to pull away as many FReepers as they possibly can. So be it. Those who would rather go with Darwin, please go. I sure as hell won't try to stop you.

FR will remain a pro-God, pro-Life, pro-Liberty, pro-Creator conservative site.

We wholeheartedly believe that our unalienable rights are a gift from God our Creator not from man or government. And no man, no government will ever deprive us of same.

Keep your powder dry.

Darwinism has about as much credence as Global Warming. Both are faith based science with no evidence of support

And the human "fetus" is not the equivalent of a spider running from a crushing foot, it is not a soldier or victim of collateral damage in a war.

He or she is an innocent human being with feelings and a soul .

The Supreme Court of the United States is responsible for mass murder in the form of state sanctioned homicide It is homicide because the victim is an innocent human being killed by a deliberate pre-meditated act .

Fringe or not, these facts cannot be rationally disputed

They have to. The RM won’t put up with the kind of behavior on the Religion Forum that other mods put up with.

The Conservative Jewish Freepers want some credit too. LOL
+++++++++++++++

Not to sound too big tentish, but there’s room for all Conservatives here. Just like America, we’re proud of who we ARE and where we’ve come from. Christians fleeing persecution in Europe, as well as many others fleeing the same, founded this greatest nation on God’s green earth (as Medved is fond of saying!)

Evos are such charming people, are they not?

I'm a Christian who believes in evolution. Charmed to meet ya.

>> Nobody forced the evolutionists to go on those threads and start Christian bashing. <<

Seems to me the young earth creationists are the ones who always decide to use these threads to start Christian bashing. Those who believe in evolution, accept Darwin's teachings, and support teaching it in schools are continually called "godless atheists", "religion of Darwinism", "members of the cult of death", etc., etc." We're told that everyone besides a small faction of fundamentalist protestants don't count as Christians. 1 billion Catholics and 300 million orthodox Christians, and hundreds of thousands of other protestants in the world don't fit their criteria of Christian, and only those who accept their beliefs on science are "allowed" to be called Christians.

Perhaps that's just the tiny bit offensive to those of us who have been baptized, accept Christ as our personal savior, belong to denominations that date back to the earliest days of Christianity, and attend church regularly.

As someone else noted on FR, I myself have said some denominations are not really Christian, but that has to do with the fact their basic theology is completely different from what virtually all Christian churches teach about Jesus and God, not because I don't like their churches stance on a field of science. And I don't hold them responsible for the holocaust, the columbine shootings, or anything else the fundamentalists here claim is the fault of "evolutionists"

I don't see any of the evolutionists here saying stuff "you know those Southern Baptists just aren't Christians. You CAN'T be a Christian if you like country music. They worship the temple of Alan Jackson"

How do you think that kind of bigotry against fellow Christians would go over in the bible belt?

Mathematics, the backbone of science refutes evolution completely,

Really? It was Ronald Fisher's mathematics that was key to making Darwin's natural selection accepted science. I never see him or his work mentioned. The bulk of the YEC posts are food fights based on fallacious attacks on Darwin.

Sure, voice your opinion as much as you want. And while I have no interest in discussing your BELIEFS, I will rebut your perverting science (e.g. the claims that rates of radioactive decay can conveniently change).

I am going to respond to your post. First Christ said ‘judge not lest you be judged’, and that is the spirit in which I will say the following.

Evolution is a government sponsored required indoctrination upon all children that attend public education. Now how convenient for those that intertwine evolution in their brand of Christianity to say it is ‘Christian’. BUT every thing Written regarding ‘creation’, is in opposition to the evolutionary doctrine. Most especially given that it was through the Adam and Eve that were by design to be the line traced from the beginning for to have the birth of God With Us in flesh.

Not even the Heavenly Father requires ‘forced’ teaching of His Word, but rather offers ‘salvation’ to any who would.

Charles Darwin believed in inheritance through a theory of pangenesis, not genetics.

True. Pangenesis was completely rejected by science, yet we are to believe that scientists worship Darwin and accept his word without question.

And when you create your own forum you can decide where the “creo propaganda” goes. See how that works?

WOW! Thanks for the update about those kids. Didn’t one of them ask a girl if she believed in God and she replied ‘yes’ and he shot her?

I disagree. His posts were intentionally adversarial (like Phelps) and a substantially minority view(like Phelps) Please read my previous posts on this thread. As far as hating GGG, I also plead innocence. Please note that I referred to his THREADS, not what he posted. I definitely disagree with the content of most of his posts, but the threads were adversarial, childish and “goofy”.

Have a Merry Christmas!

That is quite different than what you said before. I have not perverted science. In fact you are the one perverting science. Uniformitarinism was proven false long ago.

Nope. That never happened to the girl who was originally the topic of the story. Cassie Bernall (sp). They also didn’t shoot the black football player because he was black, another false story that the media ran with.

Well then, you haven't been reading the latest crevo threads because that's EXACTLY what I was told because I believe the Bible, that I wasn't a Christian but rather a cultist, by someone who claimed to be a Christian himself. And he included other YECers in that.

I disagree with your use of "fundamentalist" to refer to the YEC crowd. It doesn't, and several decades prior to the Scopes trial didn't, and even where used in the sense you used it was used only among a small group.

I think we need to take the terms back into normal use.
