So your belief that the Bible can be cherry-picked doesn’t somehow exclude the verse that contains the words, “believeth on Him”? I’ll play your game. Let’s just choose for ourselves out of thin air which verses are to be believed and which are not.
That’s my point. It’s either all the truth or it’s all to be taken into question. You can’t have it both ways. And yes, there are admonitions on the truth of the Word of God contained within the Word of God, but then you get into the argument of who assembled the Bible. Either way, we could argue it until the cows come home.
I choose to believe the Bible and you choose to believe portions that uphold your particular view of whom you want God to be. I’m satisfied that I know where you’re coming from unless you can enlighten me.
That is your problem. If the story of Jonah in the whale is not true, your lose all your faith and cannot worship the Bible anymore.
