I don’t know how any judge could set bail, period, for someone accused of child rape and with a criminal history a mile long.
It’s beyond belief. If that’s the law, then we need a total reform of the law from top to bottom!

He started a landscaping business, according to his statements in his mental health evaluation. He moved in with his wife and had a child with her. There were two other children in the family.
Gradually, he bought five houses one in Arkansas, four in Washington
Landscaping business, eh? He bought 5 houses while mowing lawns?
(Now where did I put my BS meter?)

They can now revise their opinion, that is no longer the case.

A typical child rape-2 defendant is summonsed into court, not even arrested, Blinn said Monday. A lot of them are released on their personal recognizance.I don't know what rape-2 entails, but this appears patently absurd. Not arrested? Released on their own recognizance? For child rape?

The left will excuse him, just as they excused the Ft Hood murderer. Psycho-chiatrists will call him crazy.

I’m sure that there were other psychologists to claim that Clemmons was safe for release. He would never have been released otherwise. What a bungling incompetent profession.

Like we need a psychologist to conclude the obvious, with a spin of "it wasn;t his fault, he was crazy!
No he wasn't crazy, he was evil. His problem was spiritual, not psychosomatic.

He knew the child rape charge was a possible third strike that could send him to prison for life. That's the money quote. Here's my theory. Clemmons knew he was looking at life because of the 3 strikes law. Having served a lengthy prison term, he decided he'd rather die than do life in prison. But before dying, he'd like to take some white cops with him.
Also, I think he might have been faking mental illness to avoid trial or to support an insanity defense.
