Why on God’s green earth do we allow RINO TROLLS to roam unabated in this forum?!?

I will support and work hard for whichever conservative gets the nomination, as I have in the past.

If it is Sarah Palin, I'll vote and happily work for her. If it isn't, but it is another conservative, I'll vote for him (or her). DeMint would be a nice alternative.

There are only three things I will not do:

1). I will not sit idly by while the media tries to determine who they'd like to see as the GOP nominee. Right now, it's Mitt Romney, because the media and Democrats recognize that he's one of them (i.e., a liberal), and would suit them just fine.

2). I will not hold my tongue and jump on the "don't criticize ____" bandwagon. The way to assure we have a strong candidate is through thorough vetting and discussion. I think too many people set aside their very real problems with John McCain early on because he was a veteran and POW and it seemed disrespectful. That, in hindsight, was a serious mistake and cannot be repeated.

3). I will not vote for a RINO. I will not help a liberal get elected. I don't care what letter they have next to their name.

What if she DOESN’T run? Being president might not be the best way to effect the kinds of changes we need. She might be able to inflict more damage on the left by being free to roam about the country, encouraging conservatives and gathering support for Constitutional principles. The way I look at it, the Presidency would be a burden to such a warrior. She stands every chance of being much more effective as a standard-bearer than as an office holder.

Eh I’m not worried about 2012 right now. I’m worried about 2010. Lets get past that first before we start casting lots for ‘12.

I gave you a non answer, so I’d like to clarify within the boundaries of your question:

Romney: No vote.
Huckabee: No vote.
Guliani: Vote against.
Jindal: Vote.
Pawlenty: Don’t know.
Paul: Vote against.
Crist: No vote.
Keyes: If cows learn to fly.

No Democrat party votes. No “staying home,” there are things down ballot (Like McCain) that I need to vote on/against. If I list as “Vote” I will work for the candidate and likely give money. A candidate worth voting for is worth working for.

As an aside, I didn’t see a lot of slobbering in this thread. It would appear one man’s advocacy is another man’s slobbering, so I won’t be insulted by the way you said it....

I’ll vote for the Conservative in the race.
If no Conservative I’ll sit another one out.

Romney, Huckabee & Pawlenty don’t qualify as Conservatives.

P.S. I would vote (and campaign like a madwoman) for Sarah Palin, Fred Thompson, or Ron Paul. I would cast Mitt Romney in a movie about the president.

=)

Who says we have to accept what the RNC wants? This isn’t about the RNC or whoever the f’ing media picks as our canidate. This is about us-real conservatives. We’ll draft and screw the RNC.

If Palin chooses to run, barring some some health or other non-political act of God, she’ll win the nomination. All the energy is with her waiting supporters. She’d quickly pick up all the branches of the GOP except the establishment RINOs and as the most vetted candidate in history there won’t be any surprises to derail her. The better question is what to do if she decides not to run in 2012. The answers are similar to those up thread, but the process of getting there is different, with the key variables being when she’d bow out and whether she endorses anyone.

It depends on several things.

1. If the GOP has the House and the Senate back by 2012, and Romney or Huck are our nominee, I have no problem giving Obama a 2nd term with a GOP House and Senate.

2. If we don’t have the House and the Senate, and Romney or Huck are our nominee, I will vote for either of them.

Bottom line: I do NOT trust Romney or Huck with a GOP majority, as both of them are the type that will run with that power and grow government.

If she doesn’t win the nomination, then I hope the nominee is just as conservative and principled as she. I will not support another moderate republican nominee.

Bob,

My advice is to seek medical and psychiatric help. Seriously.
You're obsessed with Palin supporters. You can't comprehend why people are rallying around her.

No matter what you say, it's not going to diminish my and others support of her, so there.
So post your vanities and repeat all the lamestream media talking points. Just like her critics, it's having zero effect on her.

To answer your question (which is a hypothetical because for the millionth time, no one knows what Governor Palin is going to do or what the future holds for her) it really depends on who the nominee is. Contrary to your portrayal of Palin supporters as rabid Alaskan wolves who'll have collective nervous breakdowns if she doesn't run or win, we will support the Republican nominee AS LONG AS it's not a flaming RINO like Huckabee, Romney, or Rudy. Yes, I would hold my nose for Pawlenty if he chooses someone like Jim DeMint as his running mate because Obama's agenda must be stopped.

Keep in mind that Palin has already made history and will be talked about and remembered just like Reagan is now in the future.

I'm going to address the basic premise, and that seems to be are we going to just "stay home" if Palin doesn't win the primary.

The question almost assumes that you're talking to democrats, who are locked in a democrat zombie lockstep with the candidate of choice.

Sure, I would hope that Palin gets the nomination, but there is always the chance that some more dirty (read: ACORN, SEIU, GOP) politics will come into play and knock her out of the running.

What then, you say?

America pretty much got bitch-slapped when the the little general Perot gave us bill clinton on a silver platter. Then, in '08, we were again backhanded by allowing the left and the press to pick our candidate for us, i.e. Juan McCain't. Most of us held our nose and voted for him, but many stayed home at the thought of having such a RINO as our president. I'm sure they all thought that mccain't would eek out a win, but they didn't want to be part of it.

Now enter the left's brown and purple shirts, ACORN and SEIU. A lot...A LOT of string were pulled and obama got the vote. There were last minute hopes for McCain't when Sarah joined the ticket, but then he "suspended his campaign and wimped out on TARP", and most of those fencesitters who were going to vote for him, just stayed home.

So what did we get for all that - we got obama. We got a man that steadfastly refuses to prove he's a natural born citizen, when he could do it with a phone call; he's spend over a million dollars hiding that, and other facts about his life, all of which would point to proving his origin.

We've been watching him systematically DIS-assemble America, piece-by-piece. We've watched him amass over 30 "czars", all with questionable backgrounds and allegencies to un-American things.

I'm saying all that to say all this, Sarah Palin exemplifies and personifies what America is all about. She loves America and believes in the Constitution. And, she is a natural leader - she can assemble a massive crowd without promising them a damned thing, other than the return of America". That's star-power, that's America power.

I can't think of but one or two people who claim "GOP" values that even come close to her in what I would want in a President.

I think if we focus on the conventions, the nominations and the polls - keep them monitored and keep them honest, she will emerge as our nominee and then our President.

As far as obama goes, I don't care what he does as long as all control of my life is taken out of his hands.

Anyone who would consider staying at home if a RINO is on the Republican ticket simply is not capable of comprehending the damage that Obama and his socialist allies in Congress can and will wreak on this country.

In order to “stay home” you must implicity assume that whatever damage done to this country by Obama would be reversible at some point in the future. You must also assume that the RINO elected is not much worse than Obama. NEITHER of these assumptions are true.

If you can’t get off your ass and do whatever it takes to get rid of Obama, RINO or not, then you will be partially responsible for the irreversible damage that will be done by the stark raving mad communists now running this country.

If the Republican nominee is an actual conservative, I’ll vote for the (R). If it’s a RINO, I’ll either stay home or write in Palin’s name. Heck, I might just write in her name even if a conservative is on the Republican ticket. I’m in California so my presidential vote won’t matter anyway. My state’s going for the Dem no matter what.

I’m still hoping that she’ll decide to run and will eventually secure the party’s nomination.
