I understand most Palin supporters have already handed her the '12 nomination, but a primary can be unpredictable and bruising. My question is, what will you do if for some reason Sarah does not win the '12 pub nomination? Stay home, vote 3rd party or support the nominee (if it is one of todays potential but established candidates)?
This is a "what if" question. If you don't have the capacity to contemplate a Palin primary loss then please find another thread on which to slobber and slander (although I seriously doubt this request will be honored).
I will support the candidate with the best chance of defeating Obama.
Her personal philosophy includes individual liberty before government intrusion, private property rights, a strong national defense (that is, a military free from political correctness), a belief in an absolute moral code.
A strong majority of Americans support this philosophy.
“Youre right. Ill do a 180 and from now on depict to her worshippers as supporters.”
You know, until I got this far on your thread, I thought I had the franchise on arrogant ass, but you got me whooped.
Note to self: Avoid threads with this jerk’s name on them.
Principles vs Marxism.
That sums up the stakes.
I gotta believe other good solid Republican conservatives will emerge by 2012 .....
Palin is great, but we can’t view her as the be-all end all of conservative movement.
That would spell death, especially if something were to occur which put her in the unelectable category.
McCain is a RINO if there ever is one. So, did you stay home or vote third party? Proud of yourself?
Are you avoiding answering the question?
The fact that nobody "has announced...yet" hasn't stopped you from starting a thread asking others who they would vote for.
And many have politely given you their thoughts on what they would do.
So, why don't you return the favor and tell us, who would you like to see run?
You don’t think anyone will challenge Zero? I’m thinking if he keeps on like this he may be vulnerable from within.
He’s a pompous jerk.
And I loath name calling.
If there is a Conservative candidate I’ll support them.
I don't agree at all.
Your telling me that the dominant leftwing media didn't push Bush II and Dole with polls and coverage several years before their nominations?
I agree with the so-called "mantra". The left pushes the candidates they want to see. It's up to us this election cycle to break from that trend.
The GOP doesn't give money to any of the presidential candidates vying for the nomination.
If Palin does not get the nomination, it will be up to whoever does to win my vote.
“This thread is really depressing. I question how seriously I can take people who dislike Obama but wont vote to get rid of him.
“Disgusting!”
Dislike Obama? That’s irrelevant. Personally, I disliked Nixon a lot more.
The problem is that Obama is decidedly against American values and is anti-freedom. RINOs are different only in degree. The problem is not whether I like them. Joe Biden is probably a nice guy, if a doofus.
The problem is their philosophy and politics, and that they all, including the RINOs, need to be driven out of office in disgrace, if not handcuffs and manacles.
I would not see a difference in voting for Obama and voting for Romney, Crist, or Huckabee. All are nice nough guys. All would lead us to a socialist, totalitarian State. There would just not be a real American patriot on the ticket, and I would have no choice, so why vote for either?
I’d probably stay home and pray for the Repubic.
Did you vote for McCain, stay home or vote third party?
I’d vote for whomever is the nominee, but I’d be very disappointed if Palin didn’t win.
I’ve no idea what will become of 0bama, his presidency or our country. Maybe he won’t even want to be POTUS in 2012. Let’s hope that’s what happens, because if the Dem nomination is wrapped up by an incumbent who has learned how to wield power, it’s over for us. :(
Both Bushes were fine on foreign policy and GWB was pretty good on taxes, but on everything else there was little difference between the Bushes and Clinton. Dole and McCain would have been basically the same as Clinton.
