Question for Palin Supporters. What will you do if Sarah does not win the '12 pub nomination?
11-28-09 | Bob J

I understand most Palin supporters have already handed her the '12 nomination, but a primary can be unpredictable and bruising. My question is, what will you do if for some reason Sarah does not win the '12 pub nomination? Stay home, vote 3rd party or support the nominee (if it is one of todays potential but established candidates)?

This is a "what if" question. If you don't have the capacity to contemplate a Palin primary loss then please find another thread on which to slobber and slander (although I seriously doubt this request will be honored).

You can’t take the truth so every other word you post is lie.
OK, so you don’t like Reagan Conservatives or those who don’t facilitate an Obama victory

“Why on God’s green earth do we allow RINO TROLLS to roam unabated in this forum?!?”

Uh, because they sometimes are conservative, and they’re not really liberal? Maybe there’s no forum for conservative thinking moderates?

"Democrats will have a very big say in who we pick. Can you say Mitt Romney?"

Speaking of which, while 3 years is a LONG way away, it's not at all inconceivable that Obama would have a primary challenger given his falling popularity. If that were the case, many Dems would have to stay home to protect their guy. Just a thought.

I support Sarah Palin who is against your laundry list.

Ron Paul supports closing Gitmo and having the trials in NY

I think the only way there is competition for the Dem nomination is if Obama decides not to run. He’s already hinted that’s a possibility.

"Palin drifts away from conservatism to chase after the mythical “independent swing-voter moderate”"

I hate to point out the obvious, but the decline in Obama's poll numbers aren't from the conservatives or liberals abandoning him - it's the exodus of independents that's doing the damage right now - almost a 50% swing, to the negative, in independents.

“2012 is irrelevent at this point, Bob. Our focus should be on 2010.”

Agreed. That, and a law stating qualifications to be president be made public and verified prior to the election
be passed.

"I think the only way there is competition for the Dem nomination is if Obama decides not to run."

My only other thought is about the impact on Obama if the GOP takes back the House next year - will he then have to tack to the center to get some things done, and alienate his base in the process. He's already starting to alienate some of his base with this alleged troop increase, and if health care expansion goes belly-up, there's are going to be some liberals on fire.

Having said that, it is hard to believe that a liberal would try to unseat America's first half-black President.

Looking at you posting history, you seem obsessed with your dislike of Sarah Palin. You describe Palin supporters as "slobbering", using this thread to put down supporters of Palin, a conservative.

I will prepare for my cabinet position serving in the newly elected Limbaugh/Coulter administration.

I like her also, but I am not convinced the final nominees name has come forward yet.

That might be true (it might also be the white guilters getting some buyer’s remorse that is driving his poll numbers down). But in 2012, the left-wing media will tell the GOP that to win they need to go left to attract the “independents” of Iowa and NH. The GOP will, as usual, believe them and start pushing the RINOs to the front in another attempt at building that big tent.

I will support anyone she supports. I would rather see her in the Senate or House but—I will follow what ever plan she has because she is the only one with a real plan and not a re-tred of an old idea. If she says go 3rd Party—I will (but, I don’t think she will) If she says sit out the election—I will (but, I don’t think she would ask that as well) She knows what she is doing. I will trust her over the Country Club Republicans who gave us Dole and McCain.

I'm sure they will. And, whomever the GOP chooses, the MSM will try and portray them as an out of the mainstream "right-winger", much like the Washington Post did with Bob McDonnell in Virginia.

McDonnell offers the GOP, and their perspective candidates, an interesting case-study in how to get plainly conservative candidates elected. McDonnell can be described as nothing other than an orthodox conservative. But, he ran a campaign that sounded much more centrist, and specifically economic issues oriented.

Whomever can replicate that formula of satisfying the base while still appealing to the center, will crush Obama.

My Bet is that Hillary will challenge Obama after a public fight with him (this is only if his poll numbers drop)and I think she can win in the end. What ever the GOP does is up in the air—it could go anyway. I just don’t want the same old faces—no Bushes, no Mitts, No Rudi Tooties, No McClaims. Let the Conservatives have a chance this time.

Over 1 Hr. ago I posted to Bob J the following and No answer
What ever Bob says can’t be taken seriously or as anything
from an adult. This is typical of a Sarah Palin basher.

Who is your candidate?

99% on FR who bash and make snarky remarks about Sarah Palin
will not say who they support saying it is too early or I don’t know because they can’t defend their candidate
and can’t take the heat.

I’ve written letters to the RNC and told them that they need to reward the states with the strongest Republican voting percentages by giving them the first primaries,

I thought that election processes were a state function and not something dictated by some political party.

If she doesn’t win the nomination, then I hope the nominee is just as conservative and principled as she. I will not support another moderate republican nominee.

There's always Huck. He's not completely lacking of any conservative and principled capacity.

(Just mostly lacking...)
