Apparently there are still some posters on FR who are fast asleep. Wake up! Dammit! We are in the middle of a conservative rebellion! While you were sleeping we, along with millions of other freedom loving grassroots Americans have participated in hundreds of tea parties all across this great land and fully intend to keep it up until all of America is awake. We are fed up and mad as hell! We grassroots Americans are delivering a message to the ruling class: NO MORE!!
No more big government! No more high taxes! No more government bailouts! No more government takeovers! No government healthcare! No more corruption! No more global baloneyism!!
We're sick and tired of liberals and RINOs running roughshod over our God given Liberty!
We want our country back! We want our freedom back! We want it all back!!
No more socialism!!
Cut the taxes! Cut the spending! Cut the government!
Restore the constitutional limits on government! Restore our freedom!!
And not only no, but HELL NO to liberals and RINOS!!
Free Republic will not support RINOS!! Rudy McRomney, et al, can go straight to hell!!
The strategy is we win, they lose.
Any questions?
(or just maybe she is old and the logic paths in the brain are supercalcified, in which case you hand her her cup of tea and her shawl and put her in the corner near the fire in her favorite rocker and periodically say soothing things like 'Yes greatgranny' while ignoring her...)
I hope she'll reclaim the mantle that was dropped, I don't know, 60-70 years ago and focus on individual rights, as opposed to the 'collective' rights consensus that has put us where we are today.
The 'reasonable' standard vs. 'perfection' standard is a good observation. Sarah will no doubt disappoint some (I hope it's not on immigration) but the thrust of her personna seems to be aimed at keeping government in check and more self-reliance on issues such as energy.
Trying to shrink government into a more efficient operation, developing energy resources to feed our economy will both be huge undertakings and critical ones that may be beyond the scope of any mortal. Certainly more important to this Republic than re-inventing Health Care.
Sarah has some experience with energy and may know a thing or two about government fat. But what she needs is an Army of like-mindeds to back her up in the house and senate if any of this is to happen. That's where tossing RINOS and dems overboard comes in and it becomes our responsibilty to deliver a new and motivated crew.
For too long we have acquiesced to the socialization of our country and the diminution of our rights (pick an ammendment, any ammendment) where our country looks nothing at all like what was envisioned.
That's a heck of a tribute to one's ancestors who actually knew more then, than we know now. Imagine Thomas Jefferson in a room of today's conservatives to give a lecture and the scathing remarks they would hear and the tounge lashing they would recieve.
Teetering on the edge of what has to be one of the greatest socialist take-overs of our time- our healthcare system- his advice to everyone in the room would be to revolt, to mount-up, and seize the capitol. Some already have, and some did on 9/12. We need everyone on board as our nation's life may depend upon it.
Fire in the belly understates what will be needed of a leader in charge of this task. My money right now in on a barracuda. They strike fast, hit hard, and Lord only knows, the battle ahead requires such skill and precision. We've got a war going on here at home boys and girls, and there'd better not be any ballot-stuffing going on in '10 or '12 or things could get ugly real fast.
Good. He needs to be held to account. I fear seeing him as some compromise VP candidate - like our own version of Biden, only sneakier.
I thank you for giving me an answer, even if I disagree with it but it’s more than anyone else has done.
We stopped sending money, we stopped campaigning for them, we even stopped voting and yet...RINOs and Democrats win on appeasement, not leadership.
It is not us not voting that crashed your precious GOP...WAKE UP! Reread 1124, I wasn't trying to pick on you I was being sincere! The tent collapsed, you can't pick-up the pieces they way you are going about it!
So what do the good people of CA do? Since there is a moratorium on RINO candidates, do we sit home and let Boxer take the seat again with no fight or what?
WHY do you insist on putting words in peoples’ mouths?
Just when I give you even the slightest benefit of the doubt, you take a dive. One of these times, you are going to bump your wittle head and hurt yourself.
You were answered more than once by more than one poster.
I will ALWAYS do everything within my power to allow a RAT to gain a greater stranglehold on our country. The rest of you can think you’re holier than I but I don’t care. You’re willing to allow RATS to be elected and I’m not. We disagree on strategy—not goals.
How many freepers do you think still consider themselves republicans?
INDEED.
Have you read the quotes ref’d in my tagline link?

Since when do you have to have approval from another FReeper on how to vote? That’s not what this is all about. The majority on this forum have agreed with Jim Robinson. We will not vote again for another RINO. We know what that means to us. Whether you understand that, or not, isn’t the point. We will vote as we will vote. If you disagree, then vote your conscience, but don’t expect support from us. Got it?
The problem for you is, you’re an anomaly in a conservative forum. We do not agree with you on the value of voting for RINOs. We will never again agree with you. It’s just as simple as that. Get over it.
Yeah.
Again, Thanks Jim for having this forum.
But what teh heck..
How the heck can some NOT understand that you fight against the RINOs and Dims at all stages.
Heck, even BETWEEN stages.
I’m probably on some love list for some choice words I said to Schumer.
I am so, so sorry, I meant I would NEVER allow a RAT to get a greater stranglehold on our country. I despise RATs and what they have done to us. I despise RATS more than RINOS. I don’t like RINOs but they’re a heck of a lot better than RATS.
Ever hear of Freud? Har...
*shrugs*
I dunno..
I’ve not had much experience with the very aged.
So color me perplexed.
Rhinos are rats
Correction RINOS are RATS. (smirk on my spelling)
