Apparently there are still some posters on FR who are fast asleep. Wake up! Dammit! We are in the middle of a conservative rebellion! While you were sleeping we, along with millions of other freedom loving grassroots Americans have participated in hundreds of tea parties all across this great land and fully intend to keep it up until all of America is awake. We are fed up and mad as hell! We grassroots Americans are delivering a message to the ruling class: NO MORE!!
No more big government! No more high taxes! No more government bailouts! No more government takeovers! No government healthcare! No more corruption! No more global baloneyism!!
We're sick and tired of liberals and RINOs running roughshod over our God given Liberty!
We want our country back! We want our freedom back! We want it all back!!
No more socialism!!
Cut the taxes! Cut the spending! Cut the government!
Restore the constitutional limits on government! Restore our freedom!!
And not only no, but HELL NO to liberals and RINOS!!
Free Republic will not support RINOS!! Rudy McRomney, et al, can go straight to hell!!
The strategy is we win, they lose.
Any questions?
ALL stages means that you fight tooth and nail for the guy who isn’t a Dim and isn’t a RINO/socialist/liberal/communist/greenparty/socialist worker’s party/national socialist/working families...
I live in New York.
You tell me about how hard it is to find someone worth voting for.
Especially when you find that Aileen Gunther is listed as a conservative in NY state!
Sometimes I wonder if we're talking about the same thing as I think we're all conservatives and want the same thing but we're discussing strategy.
Sounds like Gramm would rather vote Dim instead.
Especially since she keeps locking onto it.
And it truly is simple as “Fight tooth and nail at all stages for teh guy who ISN’T a dim or a rino”
The question is simple: Do you believe that in today electorate a conservative can be elected in each state or county of the country? I do not. I really hope that it is the case but reality says otherwise.
Also, I think Jim that you are way over worrying about Romney. The man has very little chance of winning the 2012 primaries if he runs because of the Massachusetts healthcare disaster. Do you really believe that he has a great chance of winning the 2012 primaries?
And therein is the problem. WHY was your only choice a RINO or a dem? At some point, party politics kicked in and choices were limited. I don’t send my money to the party anymore. I send it to candidates. If more of us did that, maybe we wouldn’t get stuck with the party picks.
You clearly haven’t read my posts about the Huckster then. :) He is RINO #1 on my list- not only a threat to our country, but a bigger threat to Christianity.
Romney currently has no chance in hell! And I’m aiming to keep it that way!
Romney supporters can take a freaking hike as far as I’m concerned!
I have not read your past posts but I fully agree with you on that believe me.
Difficult in NY, but not impossible.
Albany isn’t listening to the people, and are busying themselves with keeping their heads in the sand on the budget problems.
The next group of candidates just has to hammer on the budget and taxation issues, and DELIVER on their platform.
In any way they can, even if it means ripping Albany apart in full view of the press.
Senate, Schumer needs to be hammered on the issues, his support for unpopular legislation and raising taxes.
Gillibrand needs to be hammered for her unpopular vote on the stimulus, porkulus, etc.
Trick is.. running candidates that are worth voting for.
You saw what they did in NY 23 here with Scuzzyflava.
At this point in time, I do not know of ANY possible candidates in NY worth voting for.
NY is California lite.
The answer is YES. It's not either or, it's BOTH. Voters start in primaries. Support the conservative candidates LOUDLY. Then vote. And get everyone that you know to vote.
Please tell me if you think I did the right thing by voting for Ganske or do you think I should have voted for Harkin or do you think I should have not voted at all?
Please tell me what you do during a general election. Do you vote for the Republican, the Democrat or not vote at all. There are no other choices.
It’s being done under many different names and creeds and ideologies, to suit the various nations and their histories, but they’re all the same thing. We each think, in the different nations, that we’re fighting mere opposing political parties, but it’s not. It’s the EU in Europe, “New World Order” or now Hussein’s brand of socialism in America, etc. But it’s all the same thing. The names of the players change, but the plot is the same.
Ever hear of “Conservative party”?
If you’re in NY, you have.
Why are you playing dumb?
I have to tell you that it sickens me to think we could have a repeat of ross perot... That’s what I don’t want to see... I wanted change back then..and while that election defied all the expectations of political analyists, we now know it can happen again. I vowed to stand behind the repub party after that without realizing what the consequences would be. Everything has changed yet again...only this time, the layers of bs has been peeled off completely and the tea parties are evident that blinders are now off. That’s what I see, and correct me if I’m wrong..but Jim Rob’s statement has spoken for those who are without blinders.... This is the most critical time in our voting lives...imho.
In a general election, there are TWO choices--the Republican who may be a RINO and the Dimocrat.
Some here are indicating to always vote against a RINO and I want them to outright say that it is preferable to vote for the RAT. Those are the only two choices. Tell me what you do.
Well, I’m not in NY.
May I answer that...back a few posts I posted how we overturned our county government's very structure. In a place that has been democrat all my life and then some. Nobody on FR paid me much attention election night, but I was excited for the first time in my life for the place I live. That night, I even began thinking of running for an office in this new county government.
WE can do this if only WE can find the courage to step forward. The time is NOW and history is calling us...to keep the republic, if we can.
