Anyone have an image of the 3rd sign mentioned here?
The opening lines of Claire Wolfe's book 101 Things To Do Til The Revolution" immediately comes to my mind.
America is at that awkward stage. Its too late to work within the system, but too early to shoot the bastards.
The next thing that comes to my mind is Thomas Jefferson's observation The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants. It is its natural manure.
Perhaps as wise as Jefferson is this more recent observation Ronald Reagan shared. "I hope we have once again reminded people that man is not free unless government is limited. Theres a clear cause and effect here that is as neat and predictable as a law of physics: as government expands, liberty contracts." This would ultimately seem to bring us back to Jeffersons observation.
Here are several related quotations to give one pause.
"No passion so effectually robs the mind of all its powers of acting and reasoning as fear." Edmund Burke, Irish orator, philosopher and politician (1729 - 1797)
Nobody made a greater mistake than he who did nothing because he could do only a little. Edmund Burke
We cant expect the American People to jump from Capitalism to Communism, but we can assist their elected leaders in giving them small doses of Socialism, until they awaken one day to find that they have Communism. -Nikita Khrushchev
The real freedom of any individual can always be measured by the amount of responsibility, which he must assume for his own welfare and security. Robert Welch Author
Liberty has never come from government. Liberty has always come from the subjects of government. The history of liberty is a history of limitations of governmental power, not the increase of it. Woodrow Wilson
Here are three related quotes from two different eras.
"The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing." Edmund Burke in a letter to William Smith on Jan. 9, 1795
The world is a dangerous place, not because of those who do evil, but because of those who look on and do nothing. Albert Einstein
All tyranny needs to gain a foothold is for people of good conscience to remain silent. Thomas Jefferson
More recently: The world is a dangerous place, not because of those who do evil, but because of those who look on and do nothing. Albert Einstein
The root of all the other quotes is, "The more corrupt the state, the more numerous the laws." - Tacitus, Roman Senator and Historian (A.D. c.56 - c. 115), because it is the peoples first clue that tyranny is afoot.
That brings us back to where I started
America is at that awkward stage. Its too late to work within the system, but too early to shoot the bastards.
>>My fear is that they dont understand Americans enough to understand the meanings.<<
.
I think that they know that patriotic Americans are outnumbered by the commies, the illegal aliens and non-European immigrants who have no interest in assimilating and who rather see this country change to their individual cultures.

I’d like to go for a no-fault divorce, and just split in
some peaceful method.
Here's the thread about denver
Here is the thread about missouri.
....to start a Civil War.
I cant debate this any further right now......
.....because you are busy starting a Civil War.
Yer on The List, bub.
Me too.
I keep getting stuck on condom box.
You must raise cucumbers in the rain?
Thank you for insightful ideas on starving the Beast! You are right, and a wise man. I am not advocating anything here. As a matter of fact, you will see a post I made the night the House passed the Health Care Bill titled “Let Cool Heads Prevail”...in it you will read that I am all for patience...and like someone said here: Once Obama (and Pelosi/Reid/et al) finish destroying the LEFT (by exposing it for what it is-nothing but a control scheme), then Conservativism will rise again.
That's a euphamism for revolution.
Yer on The List, bub.
After reading through, I see a few hotheads who want to storm Washington.
Okay. Where do we muster? Where’s the command and logistics structure? Which company, platoon and squad leader do we report to? Who’s the commander? Hell, who’s the squad leader? Where’s the armory where we can turn in a defective trigger housing for a new one? Can we even march on the grinder (parade field)?
Until we answer these questions, people calling for a revolution now are freelancers, loose cannons and maybe agent provocateurs.
First, we’re conservatives who believe in the rule of law - both a blessing and a curse. Conservatives are waiting to see how the rule of law plays out in the next few years.
Remember, too, that it took the Founders 25 years to organize, create a political base and find leaders to take on the British Crown. The leftists have been working to overthrow the United States since 1910. And every succeeding generation has done nothing to stop it. So the work falls to us.
We’re at the organization stage. That’s good. From here, we’ll find our George Washington and Col. Moultrie and Sergeant Jasper.
Let’s not get ahead of ourselves.
Cooling is what you do with a hot barrel.
Head -> headspace -> rifle jargon.
Yer on The List, bub.
OOO! OOO! OOO! ME! ME! ME!
I promise I won't use my position as a cool way to cruise hot chicks.
Much.
You always have a unique perspective on events.
Agree with you....but back to the BILLBOARD in question....I agree that the steps one and two are requisite for 3...I guess you can gauge the mood of the American people by the responsible and contrived (SP) comments you find here and the inflamatory and irresponsible comments found in the likes of dailyKommie and FluffPO...
Unfortunately, the great social experiments of income redistribution, affirmative action, equal opportunity for discrimination, reverse discrimination, forced de-segregation, , class warfare, identity-politics, etc, etc...are finally taking the toll on the American psyche, and the SILENT, QUIET, MAJORITY will be silent no more...
And what should we be contrite and silent? No matter how well we behave, we all all labeled extremists, NAZI’s, mobsters, etc...
When I am buried, I want my headstone to read, simply:
And?
