She voted for it before she voted against it.

If it passes the Senate

It will not pass in its present form, but something will pass in the senate. It doesn't really matter what it is, because in the bicameral conference Pelosi, Rahm, etc., will do whatever they damned well please to it.

If it comes out of committee

There is zero chance it will fail to come out of committee. The only hope after that is that the Senate will reject it after it comes out of committee, but by that time, I believe it will have too much momentum (You can't let Oba Mao fail" "We have worked so hard" etc. etc.).

“And don’t forget all those “principled conservatives” who “sent a message” to the GOP in all of the recent elections.”

So we should have supported Scozzafava(R) in NY-23? How about Arlen Specter?

I have a question - does anyone know the recall laws in some of the states of these so-called “blue-dogs” that aren’t up for election next year?

I’ll try to look it up if I get a chance tonight, but I’m just taking a quick break from my 10 yr anniversary trip/vacation at WDW to check email and free republic.

This is just so sickening...ugh (the lib dems, not my trip, lol)

++++++++++++++++

That said, we must continue to battle at every possible juncture and delay this monster as long as possible, and failing that, to convert as many reasonable people to our side as possible.

The gap according to Quinnipiac recently was 16 points. Let’s drive that to double that by Nov. 2010.

I agree.

Even if it does pass and Oba Mao signs it, the longer we delay it, the harder it will be for amnesty to pass. As I said in another post, Byrd may not be around at some point, and that would make the Dems' job to pass healthcare harder. I am not 100% sure that heathcare will pass this year, but I think it is likely to pass eventually, maybe next year.

Here is why. The senate can weaken the Reid bill somewhat to get so-called "moderate" votes, and bribe troublemakers to vote for it. In conference, Pelosi etc. will try to take out anything she doesn't like in the senate bill and may make add some "features" that are even worse than the House bill. If it gets that far, I think they will get all 60 Dem votes in the senate after it comes out of bicameral conference ("We can't let Oba Mao fail" "We have worked so hard" etc. etc.).

If they can push healthcare through this year, they might "allow" Byrd to retire, because he voted against amnesty in 2007.

Scozza and Specter are pieces of crap.

Sometimes it does make sense to get rid of an office holder or candidate with an (R) next to his name.

......we're going to see a mass slaughter in 2010 and 2012 like we've never seen ....

May I offer a word of caution to an obvious "Cup's half-full" guy? Never underestimate the ability of the Steele-directed RNC, The GOP, and their hardened corps of RINO dweebs to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.

The RNC sees 2010 as a means to get back to "business as usual," not as an earth-shaking reversal of the Obama Drive Toward Socialism. Do you honestly think that a national party that could not handle the "Scozzafava Affair" can handle Obama and his Trillion-Dollar War Chest? (In case you forgot, Newt endorsed her, Steele witheld campaign funds from a guy who could have easily won.)

It cost Obama $300 Million to buy off Landrieu, Lincoln, etc. just to get a bill to the floor for debate. Unfortunately, there's plenty more where that came from.

HOLD THE REPUBLICANS' FEET TO THE FIRE. MAKE THEM SWEAR THEY'RE GOING TO REVERSE THIS WHEN THEY COME INTO OFFICE.

LOL. Obama's money might well buy them, too; just not as easily as Landrieu and Lincoln. Where are the conservative candidates? Who's going to stand up and just flat out say that "Climate Change," and "Cap and Trade" are just plain bullshiite? Has one Republican even publicly stated that there is at least an issue with Obama's eligibility under Article II of the Constitution? Energy policy? Foreign Policy?

You predict a landslide. I predict two more SCOTUS picks who will make Sotomayor look conservative! I predict that the economy in 2012 will make us call 2009 "The Good Old Days."

Kenny's absolutely correct, my friends.

"HOLD THE REPUBLICANS' FEET TO THE FIRE. MAKE THEM SWEAR THEY'RE GOING TO REVERSE THIS WHEN THEY COME INTO OFFICE."

And he's correct, again.
The above promise must be a prerequisite for endorsement of anyone desiring to run as a representative of the GOP. No ifs, ands or buts about it and don't hand me us what has been done cannot be reversed crap, either. Won't cut it, a'tall.

Since you're on a roll, Kenny.
What else have you to say? {g}

My Senatrices, Snowe and Collins, are holding out for a bailout of the Maine State Health Plan. As soon as Reid shows'em the real money, they'll be on their knees. The ladies from LA and AR went home with about $300 Million between them. Ditto other Republican Senators from southern states with large indigent populations.

We have provided Obama with the Mother of All Slush Funds, The "Stimulus Package," 90% of which is still unspent. It's his to to with as he wishes, and what he wishes is a socialist country with a European minority. And, he can afford it.

I say the two-party system has finally delivered the inevitable. I.E., a more or less One-Party System. Since a Third Party will also inevitably empower the Democrats, I say we have to drive the GOP to the right.

Not easy. Especially since many a RINO can harrumph out conservative-sounding statements on the stump, and then make a sharp left turn into DC. Besides, the government apparatus, Congressional Staffers, etc., are overwhelmingly Democrats.

So I'll take your directions on holding their feet to the fire with one addition:

That if elected they will hire new staff,
registered Republicans from their district.
Me, for example, who can sniff a dirty dog Democrat from 100 yards and make him turn his left cheek so I can rip it off.

Historical Note: Although many a registered Democrat is still apt to be a patriotic American, the leadership of the Democrat Party is directly descended from the Stalinist Street Gangs of the New York City of the 1920's and 30's. Franklin Roosevelt recruited them into the Democrat Party because they were siphoning away Democrat votes. With their superior Communist organizing tactics, they soon took over the intellectual wing of the party and all of its leadership roles. What? You thought Rahm Emanuel is an accident? Bill Ayers a guy from the neighborhood? Saul Alinsky wrote children's books? BHO, Jr. is a well meaning "Community Organizer?"

PASS THE WORD: To tea partiers, 9/12 marchers, pro-lifers; defense of marriage, 2nd amendment, anti ObamaCare, anti-amnesty, anti cap/trade conservatives.

These are the terms under which we conservatives permit candidates to earn our support:

(1) Your conservative group holds an official position within the campaign;

(2) Your group's issue is affirmed in the candidate's platform;

(3) Your group is in attendance at all campaign strategy meetings;

(4) Your group holds a paid job in the campaign;

(5) Your group holds a position in the winning candidate's elective office.

(6) The candidate must renounce RINOS and pukeneos before he/she gets conservative endorsement.

I think it’s time to focus on de-electing Dims.
The following Dimocrat Senators are coming up for re-election, and I think we should work and donate to defeat them, especially Blanche Lincoln (other very vulnerable ones include Byron Dorgan (ND) and Harry Reid (Uranus):

Blanche Lincoln of Arkansas
Barbara Boxer of California
Michael Bennet of Colorado
Christopher Dodd of Connecticut
Daniel Inouye of Hawaii
Roland Burris of Illinois
Evan Bayh of Indiana
Barbara Mikulski of Maryland
Harry Reid of Nevada
Kirsten Gillibrand of New York
Chuck Schumer of New York
Byron Dorgan of North Dakota
Ron Wyden of Oregon
Snarlin’ Arlen Specter of Pennsylvania
Patrick Leahy of Vermont
Patty Murray of Washington
Russ Feingold of Wisconsin

CALL CONGRESS TOLL FREE Capitol switchboard: 800-965-4701----800-828-0498----877-762-8762
Ask your Congressman/woman what he/she received in exchange for supporting ObamaCare.

Going, going, gone----S=O=L=D----for $300 million.
With all that govt money in her offshore account, maybe
Landrieu'll do something about that ugly retro hair of hers.

REFERENCE A largely overlooked provision in Reid's bill sends $100 million to Louisiana to cover Medicaid "for the poor." Plus $200 Million for Katrina costs. Louisiana's Mary Landrieu (posing as a holdout) said, with the 8 pm vote looming: "I've decided that there are enough significant reforms and safeguards in this bill to move forward." (Duh)

Landrieu voted "for the poor." Now she can flaunt her "tolerance and compassion." (/snic).

Finally: Of those 5 Senators retiring, 4 are Republican, and 2 certainly need to be replaced by Conservatives:

Mel Martinez (R) of Florida
George Voinovich (R) of Ohio
