I say the two-party system has finally delivered the inevitable. I.E., a more or less One-Party System. Since a Third Party will also inevitably empower the Democrats, I say we have to drive the GOP to the right.
Not easy. Especially since many a RINO can harrumph out conservative-sounding statements on the stump, and then make a sharp left turn into DC. Besides, the government apparatus, Congressional Staffers, etc., are overwhelmingly Democrats.
So I'll take your directions on holding their feet to the fire with one addition:
Historical Note: Although many a registered Democrat is still apt to be a patriotic American, the leadership of the Democrat Party is directly descended from the Stalinist Street Gangs of the New York City of the 1920's and 30's. Franklin Roosevelt recruited them into the Democrat Party because they were siphoning away Democrat votes. With their superior Communist organizing tactics, they soon took over the intellectual wing of the party and all of its leadership roles. What? You thought Rahm Emanuel is an accident? Bill Ayers a guy from the neighborhood? Saul Alinsky wrote children's books? BHO, Jr. is a well meaning "Community Organizer?"
