One article said the absentee ballots are:

1. military
2. snow bird
3. retired

All more likely to be conservative versus Owens or Scuzzy.

I can’t help wondering who was pulling the strings behind the scene that led to several districts to state ZERO votes for Hoffman. Those numbers are what led him to concede.

Ahhh, those ‘helpful’ folks. Don’tchya just luvvv ‘em?

Although, now that Putrid Pelosi has rammed this piece of excrement though the House, the tide of public opinion continues to rise rapidly against her like-minded minions. As more comes out on the ‘gimmes’ in the legislation, expect more to speak out. AMA will have a war on it’s hands and AARP should continue to loose members. [She types with fingers crossed...] May we hear a massive flush during the mid-terms.

If you are correct that’s better than the 75% figure I saw mentioned earlier.

60% with heavy military ballots is quite doable.
+++++++++++++++

I agree with this. And yet they seated him. The RATs arrogance is breathtaking.

“Not going to happen. Doug lost.”

Any election that’s close will always go the the Demonrat.

Weird Al Franken is the latest example. ACORN and it’s affiliates have it down to a science.

Experience and history says you’re right. But I think we should FIGHT them on these matters, like we’ve never done before.

We must fight for this nation.

Well, if ITS NOT OVER, then maybe Mr. Hoffman shouldn't have been so quick to lick the boots...

PS... I hope he wins but I hope even more that he realizes that people play for keeps in Washington... Jimmy Stewart is dead...

The House can seat whomever the House rules won the election, even if the state has certified someone elese as the winner—that was quite common in the 19th century, and it happened in 1985 when the Democrat-controlled House pretty much stole a seat when it seated Democrat incumbent Frank McCloskey despite the Setate of Indiana having certified his Republican opponent as the winner (the House had its own “recount” and ruled, on a party-line vote, that McCloskey won the election by 4 votes).
++++++++++++++++++

That may have been tolerated in the 19th C. and even in 1985, but in this current environment, that is like lighting a match around a powder keg.

Come on RATs - light that match. I dare ya.

The closer this gets, the better for our side, even if Hoffman isn’t seated until 11/2010.

Well, I don’t think this is worth so much, but some local news station says they think he’s about 3100 or so votes behind now:

They ACORNed this one for sure.

fact of the matter is that without Dede in the race, the conservative/pub would have won by probably 5-6ooo votes....

november is not that far away....but personally, we need a dynamic Pub to run....Dougy was not the ideal candidate, but a courageous one for sure...

consevatives/Christians/pubs/good people in general think that somehow morals and ethics and fair play will get them ahead....it won't...

the strong survive...

those that grab the golden ring win, not the ones who stay on their horsey like good little boys and girls....

pubs better come up with a strong arm strategy and reclaim the bully pulpit..

because nice never won anything in the real world...

I guess the real lesson is that we need pubs getting the election jobs....start winning by winning locally.....

weird Franken is the latest example of “conservative” people voting third party.....450,00 worth...which if those right thinking people had instead gone more for Coleman, we wouldn’t have this rat stranglehold in Congress/Senate/white house...

Article I, section 5, clause 1 of the U.S. Constitution:

“Each House shall be the judge of the elections, returns and qualifications of its own members....”

It is undisputed that the House is the ultimate word on the winner of an election to the House, as well as on whether a member meets the constitutional qualifications for office, and that such determinations are made by a simple majority vote; the only limit that the Supreme Court has placed on Congress is that it not add to the qualifications set forth in the Constitution (age, citizenship and residency). See Powell v. McCormack.
