The news of the mass shooting at Fort Hood Thursday hit close to home for some Utahns. One man says his daughter heard the shooter exclaim "Allah Akbar" as he opened fire.
We want to stress that no government or military officials are reporting that and there is no way for us to independently confirm that it is true.
The family from northern Utah agreed to talk to us, on the condition we not identify them and blur out some photos they've supplied, because they're worried their daughter could get in trouble with her superiors for making public what she told her family she saw.
The soldier's father says his daughter was at Fort Hood Thursday when the shooting happened, and she called him, frantic and upset, soon after.
"She said, ‘Dad, I'm OK. Don't worry, I'm OK.' And initially I said, ‘What are you talking about?' She said, ‘Haven't you heard?' And I said, ‘No.' And she said, ‘We've been attacked by terrorists,'" the father explained.
He told KSL News soldiers were sitting in a staging area for medical and dental checks when the group was startled by gunfire.
"A person behind counter stood up, and he said, ‘Allah Akbar!' And just opened up on everybody," the father told us.
It means "Run like hell and take refuge in the nearest safe hardened shelter you can find."
Or, as the Big Voice blares when the C-RAM goes off,
"Take cover, take cover, take cover."

Please! We must be fair! To do that we should behead him, drag his naked body through the streets of the city, then hang him and set his body on fire. Of course hanging a person without a head is not easy but it can be done.
That is what they do to ours so we should be fair and return the favor.

Hunt said his son told him he loaded up many of the wounded and drove them to the hospital. The wounded relayed what they saw inside when the shooting happened.“They were telling him that one guy was shouting something in Arabic while he was shooting,” Tom Hunt said. “He couldn’t say much more than that.”
Shiela Hunt’s first word about the shooting came from her husband, who called to tell her he had just spoken with their son and that he was all right.

NO other way to describe what I’ve called “Sudden Jihadi Syndrome” except to call it freelance terrorism. And although I suspect this is what this case is, freelance terrorism, rather than him being part of a terrorist organization, it is terrorism nonetheless, an event done to terrorize people in the name of a cause.

Maj Hasan, aged 39, was a military psychiatrist and was reportedly due to be sent on a mission to Iraq.
His cousin said Maj Hasan - a US-born Muslim - had been resisting such a deployment.
“He hired a military attorney to try to have the issue resolved, pay back the government, to get out of the military. He was at the end of trying everything,”
Forcing someone to fight their co-religionists when they object is not a very smart move - especially when dealing with Islam.

Yeah, possibly. Lots of Arabs are Christians who have fled persecution in Muslim dominated nations in the Middle East.
I worked with two engineers who were from Lebanon, both Christian, and a Syrian who was Christian.

I believe the shooter set it up to perfection. Laid the groundwork in advance....”I don’t want to be at war and they picked on me because of my religion.”
(Meanwhile, he let his anger at America show in his actions and words.)If he was upset about being deployed he would have discussed it with his family but they didn’t even know he was being deployed according to the cousin.
They probably knew he was getting ready to yell Allah Akbar though. I also heard reports of shots fired in various locations on the base which sounds like more than one person aka a terrorist attack. (I can’t imagine that all of the military men and women in that room would have laid down and played dead knowing if he left there he could shoot other friends and family members.)
If our Muslim leader wanted to tell the “free press” and the military officers do NOT report this, we don’t want a backlash against the fine Muslims in our country. Would that surprise anyone? Who was it that said, “If the winds change I will stand with the muslims”?
Also concerned about the timing. Do you suppose a Physchiatrist would know that there were protests scheduled across the US both at the capital and in individual states to publicly state our displeasure about the Pelosi/Obama Healthcare takeover?
