The news of the mass shooting at Fort Hood Thursday hit close to home for some Utahns. One man says his daughter heard the shooter exclaim "Allah Akbar" as he opened fire.
We want to stress that no government or military officials are reporting that and there is no way for us to independently confirm that it is true.
The family from northern Utah agreed to talk to us, on the condition we not identify them and blur out some photos they've supplied, because they're worried their daughter could get in trouble with her superiors for making public what she told her family she saw.
The soldier's father says his daughter was at Fort Hood Thursday when the shooting happened, and she called him, frantic and upset, soon after.
"She said, ‘Dad, I'm OK. Don't worry, I'm OK.' And initially I said, ‘What are you talking about?' She said, ‘Haven't you heard?' And I said, ‘No.' And she said, ‘We've been attacked by terrorists,'" the father explained.
He told KSL News soldiers were sitting in a staging area for medical and dental checks when the group was startled by gunfire.
"A person behind counter stood up, and he said, ‘Allah Akbar!' And just opened up on everybody," the father told us.
Can someone tell me what Allah Akbar means? I’ve heard the phrase, just don’t know what it means in English
It means “god is great”.
Said right before killing non-Muslims, for nearly 1,300 years.
KSL is not known as a rumor monger type of outfit, old and very respected.
A bombshell if someone can collaborate the story.....
Explains why Shep Smith was asking everyone he talked to this afternoon if the shooter was vocalizing anything, they must have heard a rumor.

This guy wanted to be a martyr for jihad..I am glad he is alive..that is what he wanted, he wanted to die, so that he could be a martyr, and he failed..now he has to pay for his crimes. This was a terrorist attack, I don’t give a hoot how the media spins it

Will we see this info on the news (including FOX) anytime soon? I’m still waiting for the outrage from the MSM over the way HolyO addressed the Fort Hood Massacre, several minutes AFTER giving ‘shout outs’ to his buds on the reservation or wherever the heck he was! >:-(
If this turns out to be true, it will be
A) unreported by the press, and
B) utterly unsurprising.
God is Great....according to search I did...it’s been repeatedly reported during various terrorist type of actions (previously) that the perp said it...
If he survived, I hope they hang this bastard!

When that 19 year old Bosnian Muslim shot up the Trolley Square mall and killed a bunch of people here a few years ago, the local media went to great pains to cover up any possible religious motive. Stories would appear once, then never be mentioned again. The kid’s father was a member of the Bosnian Mujihadeen. The kid hinted to his girlfriend about a great thing he was going to do. Then, when they took his body back to Bosnia, his fellow Muslims gave him a hero’s burial. But, there was no religious motive, of course.

That a Paliwog shouted respect for his vile god as he killed our soldiers is no bombshell. That a witness thereto fears reprisal from her stinking government, now that's a bombshell!
