I’m grasping at crumbs, but Hoffman is now only -7 with 27% in, total of about 43k votes in (including votes for scuzzy). I don’t know the size of the district, so I don’t know what’s left to draw from.

There is no way the Dems are going to let any candidate Sarah Palin endorses win.

Yes, and not just the Dems either. Watch for the establishment GOP to use a Hoffman loss as a stick to beat her with. I said it from the moment she went public for Hoffman -- NY23 is about Sarah Palin and Sarah Palin alone.

You took the words right out of my mouth. When Michael Barone says Corzine is hopelessly behind, I will believe it. I have not seen him on Fox tonight though.

Besides AP, Politico and some other news site have said Christie wins. The trend sure looks good. Though now I see on Fox his lead has slipped to 4 with 79% in. Damn, looks like we have to wait a little longer. Reminds me of 1981 when some networks called it for Florio way too early, then had to take it back.

WHERE is Michael Barone tonight? Why is he not on with the others at FNC? He’s the guru of US elections...

A St. Lawrence County Board of Elections official says there will be either partial or no results coming from certain communities Tuesday night.

Republican Department Head Deborah Pahler tells 7 News the scanners malfunctioned on the new election machines in the towns of Clare, Edwards and Rossie and possibly in Louisville, Waddington and the Potsdam Civic Center.

She said emergency ballots were placed in a lock box and impounded.

Pahler was unable to say how many ballots are involved or when they would be counted.

She said it was unlikely they would be counted Tuesday night.

Pahler said as many as ten districts are affected.

Meanwhile, Lewis County’s Republican Elections Commissioner Ann Nortz says three machines malfuntioned - one in New Bremen and two in West Turin.

The unknown number of ballots will be impounded.

It’s unclear when they will be counted.

Um, this is looking bad. I thought he had a small lead according to the exit polls?

And you still believe exit polls.... why?

Owens ahead by 2,468 votes with 27% in. It will be a squeaker if Hoffman pulls it out.
