"Republican Dede Scozzafava today endorsed Democrat Bill Owens, her former opponent, in Tuesday's election to fill the North Country congressional seat formerly held by John McHugh.

Scozzafava suspended her campaign for the 23rd District seat Saturday, citing weak poll numbers and inadequate campaign funds.

In a statement released this afternoon, she called Owens ''an independent voice devoted to doing what is right for New York.''"

I recall reading back in 1976 that Orrin G. Hatch was the insurgent conservative candidate at the state convention, which chose him as the nominee. By the time EMK looked twice at Hatch and played him for a fool, Hatch was already selling us out where he could. But the people of UT have been clueless. He was still fairly reliable in the 1980s, but by the time Mr. Clinton came to town he was begging Democrats to praise him.

I’ve been emailing and calling my state and national Republican party and letting them know that I will not vote for a RINO and that there will be no financial support until they give me a candidate I can vote for. The RNC sent out one of those “questionnaires” looking for a donation and I took a black sharpie and wrote across the front: NO RINOS! I will send $$ when you give me a candidate I can vote for. I refuse to vote for another RINO. Then I sent it to them in their postage-paid envelope.

If you live in FL, you will be told by the Republican Party in October 2010 that you must vote for Crist to save “Western civilization”.

I feel your same anger. Thank God it’s finally coming to the surface. Do a HOUSE CLEANING in the Republican Party. Get rid of these fat cats who stand for nothing, fall for everything just to keep their SNOUTS IN THE PUBLIC TROUGH.!! They ARE more dangerous. They wear a label that they besmirch every single day. Since William E. Jenner, IN has had few good officeholders, though Quayle might have been had he been more courageous and stood up within the GHWB administration.

Crist can attempt to move as far right as he can but the gig is already up along with loys of video and audio to prove otherwise. Marco is already using Charlie’s words against him and his useless misleading commeercials only make him lookn worse.

A Palin endorssement may not be needed here as Marco has gone from more than 49 points down in April to just 13 points this month and he polls better against the presumptive Dem than does Charlie. But It wouldn’t hurt in the least to have heer here.

ive voted republican all of my life to probably no exception. I have come to realize that the republican party , with some exception, but as a whole has given conservatives lip service only. Like lindsey at his town hall meetings. They are not on our side much more than the dems. Nearly all of our gop house and senate members have been fiscally liberal. They have lessened our liberties. The gop is corrupt. They do not represent the people who put them in their positions.

John McCain is finished. He will either not seek re-election (smart of him if he opted for that option) or will be defeated. Either way, he’s gone after his current term is up.

“The GOP is not my party. I vote for Conservatives, and if one has an R after their name, I won’t turn away — but I am TOTALLY done with moderates, RINOs or fools. But I repeat myself.”

I hear you.

...she called Owens ''an independent voice devoted to doing what is right for New York.''"

As the GOP dumped conservatives money on her because she toted a political label of favor.

As the number of "political Independence" increases with a growing rate.

Let us not be side tracked! It is true they need to be dealt with and we will, but the bigger picture is the rats. Now don’t you think thier lovin this infighting. We need the big picture, we need to cockblock the mutts in 2010, congress senate and house with the help of, yes the Republicans, choose carefully, choose conservative where ever possible. We cannot allow this to get out of control where we miss the opportunity to deal a heavy blow to the rats in all state run elections. Be diligent, choose wisely and remember the big picture and the end results.

McCain will win the primary with 70 - 75 percent of the votes. He will win the general with 65 - 70.
