Rainforest Fossils Demonstrate Dramatic Climate Change
ICR News ^ | October 29, 2009 | Brian Thomas, M.S.

Researchers are recovering beautiful fossils from the Cerrejón Formation of Colombia. One was a giant snake, called the “Titanoboa.” Most recently, a study examined the formation’s fossilized flora, which looked the same as modern plants, and the rainforest environment in which they lived.[1] This research dovetails nicely with other studies on ancient earth’s turbulent climate.

There is evidence of dramatic...

This is simply not true.

According to Algore, the climate should stay the same forever and we are all going to die unless we destroy our economies and move into caves.

I think it is time to start the drum rolling of the “coming of the next ice age”. If we can get that message out there as effectively as the Global Warming chorus did, we can start investing in Natural Gas futures, so we can stay warm. There’s money to be made in every lie.

This is what the author is getting at;
From the link;
“A global flood, like that described in Genesis, would have involved rapid movement of crustal plates and catastrophic ruptures that released hot mantle material into earth’s oceans. This event would have generated exactly the conditions required to form an Ice Age: very warm oceans, occluded skies, and cool polar continents.4

The sequence of these ancient global events uncovered by scientific fossil sleuthing matches the events recorded in the Bible. Only the timescale differs. And removing the assumption of evolutionary time from the otherwise scientific reports about the Cerrejón Formation fossils also fixes the problem of no evolution having occurred in Colombian plants and animals since the Ice Age,5 which ended only about 4,000 years ago.”

If heat energy was added slowly, then sufficient time would have permitted the heat to dissipate. It is apparent that a dramatic and fast injection of heat occurred.

A global flood, like that described in Genesis, would have involved rapid movement of crustal plates and catastrophic ruptures that released hot mantle material into earth’s oceans. This event would have generated exactly the conditions required to form an Ice Age: very warm oceans, occluded skies, and cool polar continents.

BWAAAAAhahahahahahahaha....lyin' Brian Thomas MS* is at it again. Love it when ICR footnotes to ICR which footnotes to ICR claims.

ICR research has predicted that a globally uniform sea surface temperature of 30 degrees centigrade would result in sustained precipitation in localities at over eight inches per hour. Heaviest precipitation would have been over the polar regions where the precipitation would fall as snow, the snow would compact to ice, and the ice would move out as glaciers.

BWAAAAAAhahahahahaha....I wanna know how globally uniform SSTs of 30 degrees C....86 degrees F....allows snow to fall and accumulate to produce an ice age at the northern pole. Globally uniform indeed.

LUNACY!!

Back to Brian...A global flood, like that described in Genesis, would have involved rapid movement of crustal plates and catastrophic ruptures that released hot mantle material into earth’s oceans. This event would have generated exactly the conditions required to form an Ice Age: very warm oceans, occluded skies, and cool polar continents.

MAKING IT UP AS YOU GO, Brian? AGAIN, I re-read the pertinent sections of Genesis and I find NOTHING mentioning rapid movement of crustal plates....or the massive earthquakes that would accompany it....or the massive tsunamis that would've accompanied it....or massive amounts of liquid hot magma bursting all over.

I'll presume Brian is making it up as he goes from "all the fountains of the great deep broken up"....which OBVIOUSLY translates to globally uniform oceanic temperatures of 86 degrees F, which cause Hollywood-hurricanes flash freezing everything.....and mythical snow at the north pole, which would, of course, be on 86 degree globally uniform water.

The sequence of these ancient global events uncovered by scientific fossil sleuthing matches the events recorded in the Bible. Only the timescale differs. And removing the assumption of evolutionary time from the otherwise scientific reports about the Cerrejón Formation fossils also fixes the problem of no evolution having occurred in Colombian plants and animals since the Ice Age,5 which ended only about 4,000 years ago.

Whole heapload of false conclusions and false statements, lyin' Brian Thomas MS*

Personally I lean towards having people buy "Ice Credits", they will pay me an X amount of dollars for which I will in turn melt so many ounces(or pounds, depending on the amount of their payment)of ice, thus saving the world from another nasty ice age. This ice can come from anywhere, even my refrigerator, but I will save the world by doing this.

I think I can convince enough idiots to invest in this scheme to make me just about as rich as Gore. I can even throw in the release of some CO2 for an additional fee.
