I'm a huge Beck fan, in fact I'm listening right now here
http://www.ksfa860.com/common/gap_streamer.php
but something really confuses me. It takes the ability to use real critical thinking to know what Beck (and most of us know about the state of the country and where we are heading). That is, we have the ability to discover the truth no matter how much the media or conventional wisdom try to hide it. Yet on Mormonism, Beck is cleary wrong. Any Christian knows that the book or momonism is severely flawed and that Joseph Smith was no prophet. How can Beck cut through all the chaff of what is going on in our world and come to the truth and yet believe the writings of Joseph Smith? It doesn't make sense? I'm not saying he's up to something secret, not by any means, it's just that he's so right about so many things and completely wrong on the most important thing. Now, he just said on the air that he believes Jesus is the Savior of the world and that he is Mormon.
I also think that because he is Mormon he is not attacked near as much if he was a Evangelical Bible only believer. Anyway, am I nutz or does Beck being a Mormon seem bizarre?
I haven't seen any members of the "other faiths" being trashed on FR whining to JR and trying to get censorship in favor of their religion.
Are mormons the only crybabies who can't even defend their own religion on an anonymous forum?
Sounds kinda puny to me.
All the truths on mormonism are here.
I truly suggest mormons do some research. Good for the soul.
I will gladly and calmly discuss any topic with anyone who seeks the truth of the matter. Are you a earnest truth seeker? If God thinks you are then my effort will be fruitful. It is in his hands.
Show me know if you are sincere about it and we will go from there.
I suspect there are also those who know it's short comings and maintain a defense for their own self interest. Their explanations are the most ‘interesting’.
Even the simplest of questions are met with elaborate rhetorical slight of hand by the pros or practiced rote answers by the rank and file that leave very incomplete pictures and gaping holes of logic and fact that is totally unrecognized or thought about. hence my retort the "because i said so" (or because that is what we are told) is not an answer. Indeed I doubt "yes" and "no" is in the lexicon of either group.
Perhaps you can surprise me.
You would be the first.
Sound familiar? What's Obama been trying to do w/ FOX? As I stated earlier, they use the same play-book & it makes me wonder. Conservatives should be about getting a divergence of ideas & opinions out there. These missionaries simply knock on doors & ask to share. They don't knock doors down & they don't force anyone to do anything. They share a belief. Even though the cabal doesn't share that belief, as conservatives based in the Constitution, one would think they would welcome the freedom of expression.
I guess only until it contradicts their beliefs. Sounds kind of liberal to me. :)
Is this a new paranoia or have I just missed your previous posts?
“Do you see a Mormon spamming that other Faiths are wrong?” It is interesting that even most Mormons do not realize Smithism/Mormonism was founded on that very assertion, that all were worng, that the authority from God had departed the earth with the last Apostle and only through Joseph Smith, could it be restored. So yes, Mormonism is the most eggregious offender in what you are seeking to defelct.
The cabal is on here virtually every single day, w/ hundreds of posts, sand blasting. Some might call that spamming. Others might call it a more “liberal” form of speech. :)
What? "...the word from getting out" = the world-wide slander lds missionaries have been pouring out upon Christians like pollution being dumped from pipes into streams & waterways? I've never said 100% of Lds creeds & articles of faith are an "abomination" -- putrid. Yet, that's the most basic unwritten Lds "article of faith." Why? Because if this little Mormon made-up "factoid" was not so, then Smith's instant-presto appearance as "apostle & prophet" of all the earth is unnecessary.
Not only is this "scripture" that binds your (& every other TBM) very adherence, but your very existence as a Mormon depends upon the total "failure-hood" of Jesus Christ and His Church established in circa 30 A.D. It's our supposed "apostate-hood" that props up your very existence!
How utterly and "noble-lessly" sad! It's like saying, "We Mormons can't construct our neighborhood in any other than the Christian graveyard down the street. Otherwise, if we let them pop up, resurrection-like, out of the gigantic grave Smith dug for them, we become false prophets in proclaiming we're the ONLY church in town!"
Even your Book of Mormon theology confirms this. 1 Nephi 14:9-10 proclaims there's ONLY 2 churches in town. Mormons stake their claim on one of them -- the church of the Lamb. You know outer-darkness well that it leaves only one label Mormons pin upon the rest of us: "The church of the devil."
Lds dance around this 'cause they don't even like the implications of their own "scriptures." They like to see themselves as "victims" of persecution & oppression. Yet they oppress any other church from being the true church of Jesus Christ. They oppress all other creeds as being an "abomination."
Shame and double shame. (When will we see a Mormon expound upon this passage with complete openness?)
Conservatives should be about getting a divergence of ideas & opinions out there.
Where's the "divergence of" creedal ideas allowed by Mormons? You claim 100% of ours are false, fictitious, abominable, putrid.
These missionaries simply knock on doors & ask to share.
And what you do you think WE do with these posts? What? Do every time we share a thread or post, the doorbell rings on your computer -- and you're forced to stop what you're doing & go lurk or answer? (We impose less than any doorbell)
You are free to have your opinions about Mormons, but just because Mormons will disagree with you on matters of Faith doesn’t mean we are giving evasive answers or there are gaping wholes in logic. I certainly do not.
However, remember, Faith is Faith. It is not Law or science. There are 6 billion people on the planet, and I doubt that there are two people who agree a 100% in matters of Faith.
In addition, I feel it is Mormons with years of real life experience, who are studious, earnest, and intellectually curious who understand the issues of Mormonism (real or imagined) the best. Certainly not the critics whose sole source of intellectual curiosity is to cut and paste from another website. It’s very comical to behold.
Your arguments resemble more of the Pharisees of old as they battled the Lord & His new doctrine, than they do someone comfortable in their own skin & religion. They got mad at Him as well because He said their creeds/teachings (to use the vernacular) were an abomination. They were quite offended, just as you are. Interesting.
As far as Making folks read your threads, most don’t anymore except when you hi-jack other’s which is becoming more & more frequent, kind of like kicking the door in. Interesting as well.
I have a lot of fun in store for this weekend. By best to you as you undoubtedly continue your “work” here. I really can’t imagine anyone interpreting the scriptures to say that one should be angry & hostile as you & the cabal seem to be on a daily basis. There’s a lot of happiness to be had outside of your “work” here. Go find it. You’ll be blessed for doing so. Even if it doesn’t involve the Mormons or their beliefs.
That's because they were NOT started by a charlaten!
Is you being PUNYtive AGAIN?
So THAT's why the Great Pumpkin fails to appear!
Do you find it kind of interesting that the MORG keeps on playing down the 60,000 missionaries?
And just WHAT do YOU call the STATUES in the center of Temple Square® proclaiming that ALL the creeds are WRONG?
Sincere attempts at conversion?
Just as YOU are 'free' to continue to ignore the FACTS of MORMONism that are being posted.
