White House Communications Director Anita Dunn's husband is emerging as the top candidate to replace Greg Craig as White House counsel, Fox News has learned.
Dunn's husband, Bob Bauer, is President Obama's personal lawyer and a former counsel to his campaign, as well as the top lawyer for the Democratic National Committee.
Senior White House officials declined to comment, but Democrats close to the situation said Bauer is under serious consideration to replace Craig, who is expected to leave the White House by the end of the year.
White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs said no decisions have been made on Craig's future or on any potential replacement.

Nepotism at work here.
But is he a lizard?

Beck hinted at it yesterday.:-D
Bauer is a partner in the law firm from which Judge David O. Carter’s recent “helper” was chosen to serve Oct. 1, 2009 to Oct. 1, 2010. Maybe he was “placed” there to keep an eye on Carter.
Pretty soon they’ll raise the hammer and cycle over the White House.
Don’t any of these left looney dames take their husbands last name?
Gibbs said no decisions have been made on Craig's future or on any potential replacement......but not in the same way that no decisions have been made about Afghanistan.
Any lawyer stupid enough to marry an old Soviet Warhorse who admires Mao is probably ignorant and bigoted enough to throughly replace Greg Craig.
Come come, I am sure at one time she was a young Soviet Warhorse who admires Mao.
I wonder what Anita Dung has on the Zero ?
Pick up the phone and call, Anita......kkthx.
Deeper and deeper we sink into the poop hole. P.S. Glenn Beck was the first to drop this bomb.
Give the man a break. For god’s sake, the man has to look across the breakfast table at Anita every morning. He’s lucky he still has both arm! Can’t he at least have a decent job?
Not “arm”...”arms”...
Bob Bauer has also testified in the investigation of former Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich on Obama’s behalf. In addition, Bauer serves as Barack Obama’s personal representative in a number of legal matters, including defending the president against legal challenges to his “natural born” citizenship status. Bauer has also represented the embattled ACORN group on more than one occasion:
When Robert Bauer was Obama’s campaign lawyer, he sent a seven-page letter to the attorney general in reference to “unsupported, spurious allegations” being made against ACORN. The law firm of Perkins Coie also represented ACORN in a court case which has been described as protecting “the right to vote in Ohio”.

The dude they are kicking out was probably not LEFT enough.
There's Bauer's various associations with President Obama that has some raising their eyebrows. From Law.com:
"Robert Bauer has gone from being general counsel of Obama's presidential campaign to serving as GC of the Democratic National Committee. Bauer, 57, is also the top lawyer at Organizing for America (the rechristened version of the president's campaign vehicle), and continues to represent Obama on personal matters such as the corruption investigation of former Illinois governor Rod Blagojevich. Plus, Bauer works full-time at Perkins Coie, where he chairs the firm's political law group."
Perkins Coie is also the law firm defending President Obama against legal challenges to his "natural born" citizenship status. Some have also pointed out how Federal Election Commission records show Obama has given Perkins Coie over $600,000 this year and more than a million dollars since last October.
Additionally, Perkins Coie's has defended the controversial poltical organization, ACORN. When Robert Bauer was Obama's campaign lawyer, he sent a seven-page letter to the attorney general in reference to "unsupported, spurious allegations" being made against ACORN. The law firm of Perkins Coie also represented ACORN in a court case which has been described as protecting "the right to vote in Ohio".
All I can remember is Obama saying something like judge me by the people I surround myself with.............of course this might not be the exact wording but close.
Hmm... the list of who surrounds him frightens me.
