When a lawyer files complaints and motions without a reasonable basis for believing that they are supported by existing law or a modification or extension of existing law, that lawyer abuses her privilege to practice law. When a lawyer uses the courts as a platform for a political agenda disconnected from any legitimate legal cause of action, that lawyer abuses her privilege to practice law. When a lawyer personally attacks opposing parties and disrespects the integrity of the judiciary, that lawyer abuses her privilege to practice law. When a lawyer recklessly accuses a judge of violating the Judicial Code of Conduct with no supporting evidence beyond her dissatisfaction with the judge’s rulings, that lawyer abuses her privilege to practice law. When a lawyer abuses her privilege to practice law, that lawyer ceases to advance her cause or the ends of justice.

Regrettably, the conduct of counsel Orly Taitz has crossed these lines, and Ms. Taitz must be sanctioned for her misconduct. After a full review of the sanctionable conduct, counsel’s conduct leading up to that conduct, and counsel’s response to the Court’s show cause order, the Court finds that a monetary penalty of $20,000.00 shall be imposed upon counsel Orly Taitz as punishment for her misconduct, as a deterrent to prevent future misconduct, and to protect the integrity of the Court. Payment shall be made to the United States, through the Middle District of Georgia Clerk’s Office, within thirty days of today’s Order. If counsel fails to pay the sanction due, the U.S. Attorney will be authorized to commence collection proceedings.

But the questions about Obama's birthplace originated in unsourced blog and message board comments by random people. Questions with no more legitimacy than those I could post here.
For instance, Sarah Palin claims to have been born in Idaho, but I haven't seen any proof of it. No birth certificate. No doctor's name. No public witnesses. And significantly, the city she claims to have been born in was only 50 miles from the Canadian border. Calgary, a MUCH larger city, is closer to Sandpoint than even the state capital of Boise. How do we know that Sarah Palin is a natural born citizen, and wasn't born during a weekend trip to Calgary?
There. Questions have been raised. Questions with equal legitimacy, and even greater likelihood (Calgary is 1/100 the distance from Sandpoint as Honolulu is from Kenya; plus, it's drivable), than those raised about Barack Obama. Does the fact that the questions have been raised mean that Palin now must answer them if she runs again?
Doing a quick internet lookup shows Obama was born in Honolulu.

2. Fourteen years a resident of the United States??? The Constitution requires that the President have been a resident of the United States for the past fourteen years. But BO has, for the past four years, been living in no state at all, but in the District of Columbia. And before that? Texas has people who think that, because of some paper work foul up in the Annexation in 1846, Texas is not a State, but still an independent republic. What of Illinois? Maybe there was some paper work foul up with the Treaty of Pairs in 1763, and Illinois is still a French Colony. Has anyone looked into that?
Are either of these issue meritorious? No. But they aren't much worse than the birth in Kenya, or Canada, or wherever argument. And at least they make for a change of pace.

| Yes, we're taking notes on the trolls here ;) They can't give a conclusive argument on why Mr. Obama would not release his records just to put a stop to all of the lawsuits. We should simply trust that the DNC and MSM vetted Obama last year. The trolls name-call, intimidate and bash — much like their schill patron-saint Judge Land! And just like the biased judge, their agenda is obvious, too.

I may have a birth certificate, but even I don’t have an official proclamation from the State I was born in.
I’m perfectly happy to believe he was born someplace else or even to somebody else. All I need is just a little bit of evidence to grab onto. I don’t usually participate in these threads, though I’ve read through lots of them and other blogs and such, and I haven’t seen anything yet that gives me a credible reason to think so. Got something new?

[§338-17.8] Certificates for children born out of State.
(a) Upon application of an adult or the legal parents of a minor child, the director of health shall issue a birth certificate for such adult or minor, provided that proof has been submitted to the director of health that the legal parents of such individual while living without the Territory or State of Hawaii had declared the Territory or State of Hawaii as their legal residence for at least one year immediately preceding the birth or adoption of such child.
(b) Proof of legal residency shall be submitted to the director of health in any manner that the director shall deem appropriate. The director of health may also adopt any rules pursuant to chapter 91 that he or she may deem necessary or proper to prevent fraudulent applications for birth certificates and to require any further information or proof of events necessary for completion of a birth certificate.
OK, I consider it propaganda. Now what? What forces the Secretary of State to prove otherwise? Just because I don't believe it's real?

Not just "they." The source for this 'fact' is apparently Kerry and his campaign. How can they be trusted if Obama and his campaign can't be? I certainly haven't seen any corroborating evidence.

But children born in Hawaii also get COLBs. So Obama's still good, right? Or are you saying that a Hawaiian COLB cannot under any circumstances be used to prove citizenship? If that's what you're saying then what federal or state agency has stated that?

He put out information that is shaded and incomplete when he could have just as easily put one of his long forms, especially the one held dearest, on-line.

You’re welcome, it was a very busy thread that day, but I never forgot his post, just like I didn’t forget when we brought up the secretary of state problem. I didn’t go as far as pissant did. He did a lot of research to find out all the info on those states. I know a lot of mudslinging is going on, but that’s to be expected because of the turmoil the whitehouse has brought forth with its bloggers, and the guy from KOS starting trouble with JIM thompson, and the resulting MSNBC fiasco..where kristinn had to speak on behalf of FR. People are suspicious because of a president who wasn’t vetted, has acorn, et al backing him..they have no credibility, and then there’s the chicago creep scandal political machine out there, scurrying around like rats trying to disrupt forums like this one. Suspicion has been nurtured by the white house. and they are loving it! (thank you beck and breitbart, and the 2 young brave journalists for outting the rats). And now the wh has fox in it’s crosshairs. The paranoid administration...victims of their own demise.
