Sole Video Footage of Anne Frank Posted Online

A video showing the only footage of Anne Frank ever recorded is now available on YouTube.

The video, uploaded by the Anne Frank House of Amsterdam on Wednesday, depicts the front of an apartment building where Frank's family lived on July 22, 1941, roughly a year before her family went into hiding in a secret apartment.

Frank is seen on video leaning out of the second-floor window of her Amsterdam home to get a glimpse of her neighbor, who is getting married.

Additional videos of an interview with Frank's father, Otto, and Frank family friends will soon be released on YouTube's Anne Frank channel, which had been viewed more than 350,000 times since its creation in February 2006.

Frank, born in Germany in 1929, was the second daughter of Otto Frank and Edith Frank-Hollander. She gained international fame in 1947 following the publication of her diary, which documented her experience hiding with her family during the German occupation of the Netherlands in World War II. She died in 1945.

Is this the only known film of Anne Frank?

I suppose she might have shown up on a tourists home movies but nobody would know who she was. I guess owning a film camera in those days was petty rare too.

I wonder if President Obama will take a 20 seconds to view this movie — since I doubt he’d take the time to read Anne’s diary — before he opens nuke-related negotiations with the Medieval savage and Holocaust denier from Iran.

All you have to do is see the smile on that innocent girl’s face, remember her fate, and realize that we must make and keep one promise to Israel:

Never again.

Between that promise and a 100 percent effort to preserve, protect, and defend our Constitution, well that’s a down payment on what we owe The Founders. It’s a start at least.

Yes, I read it in high school too. I always felt Anne was a very spiritual person after reading it.

Kids today read “Night” by Eli Weisel. It is a harrowing tale of what happened to him in a camp. But, while Anne’s story ends in an uplifting triumph of the human spirit, Weisel’s ends in a dark night of the soul. Anne kept her faith through it all; Weisel lost his.

Perhaps that’s why high schools today are more comfortable with Night. It’s less spiritual— or it could be because it’s written at a lower reading level.

As a reminder, most of the archives of Helen Keller were lost in the destruction of the Twin Towers on 9/11. Her ‘museum’ of sorts was in the basement of one of the towers. She was one remarkable woman, too.

Not the same situation of course, but I am constantly amazed by people who overcome amazing obstacles and live to tell about it, or just grab life by the b@lls and wring the most out of it that they can, no matter what their sad circumstance.

None of us has ANY reason to complain in comparison, but since we’re human, we will, LOL! :)

'American training will be utilized to kill Jews'
”NORTHERN WEST BANK –security forces who recently received training
at U.S.-run bases as part of a stated effort to reform the PA's militias
“All the trainings we received from Dayton and company will not affect our loyalty to
our people and the resistance," said the former Brigades leader.
The others present concurred.
The gunman was referring to Keith Dayton, the U.S. security coordinator to the
Palestinian territories who has been overseeing the training of Palestinian militias.
Since the late 1990s, the U.S. has run training bases for PA militias. The U.S. also has
provided hundreds of millions of dollars in financial aid and weapons to build up the PA militias.

Yousuf received U.S. training in Jericho in 1999 as a member of the Preventative
Security Services. He is a Brigades chief in Ramallah, where he is accused of
participating in anti-Israel terrorism, including recent shootings, attacks against Israeli
forces operating in the city and a shooting attack in northern Samaria in December 2000
that killed Benyamin Kahane, leader of the ultranationalist Kahane Chai organization.
… Yousuf said his American training sessions were instrumental in killing Jews:
"All the methods and techniques that we studied in these trainings, we applied them against the Israelis," he said.
"We sniped at Israeli settlers and soldiers. We broke into settlements and Israeli army
bases and posts. We collected information on the movements of soldiers and settlers. We
collected information about the best timing to infiltrate our bombers inside Israel. We
used weapons and we produced explosives, and of course the trainings we received from
the Americans and the Europeans were a great help to the resistance."

"I myself received American trainings in Jericho. Together with my Preventative
comrades, I received trainings in intelligence methods and military trainings," he said. "In
the intelligence part, we learned collection of information regarding suspected persons,
how to follow suspected guys, how to infiltrate organizations and penetrate cells of
groups that we were working on and how to prevent attacks and to steal in places.

"On the military level, we received trainings on the use of weapons, all kind of weapons
and explosives," Yousuf said. "We received sniping trainings, work of special units
especially as part of what they call the fight against terror. We learned how to put siege,
how to break into places where our enemies closed themselves in, how to oppress protest
movements, demonstrations and other activities of opposition.
"I'm just telling you the truth," he said. "We applied against Israel all that we learned
from the Americans."
