The Department of Justice has hired a team of partisan Democrat campaign bloggers to work at the Department.....Tracy Russo is one such blogger from the campaign of John Edwards. The unit is housed in the Office of Public Affairs....They are also tasked with posting anonymous comments, or comments under pseudonyms, at newspaper websites with stories critical of the Department of Justice, Holder and President Obama....There is clearly a designed effort to rebut stories that are exposing the Holder Justice Department as more political than the last. Weve seen a change in the pattern of anonymous emails we receive and comments posted at our papers webpage.

Bloggers Focus on Obamas Opposition
From public protests to race to health care, domestic issues dominated the commentary from bloggers last week. Combined, the three topics made up almost half (46%) of the links the week of September 14-18, according to the New Media Index from the Pew Research Center’s Project for Excellence in Journalism.
It was not a discussion of the issues themselves, however, but a debate about the motives and extent of the President’s opposition that drove the conversation online. That debate was triggered by a remark about race and politics, a large protest in Washington D.C. and a censure of a Congressman who heckled Obama. The events and ensuing commentary rolled out sequentially during the course of the week..................

Astroturf is a fake grass roots movement. The term is applied when a Public Relations firm creates a fake grassroots group on behalf of a secretive client to professionally manipulate public opinion. According to Business Week, Obama Chief Strategist David Axelrods firm ASK is known as the gold standard in Astroturf organizing.

It's worse than Pravda. At least the Russians (and other Soviet peoples) knew that it was Pravda and that there was "no pravada in Pravda".
(Pravda means "truth").
This is black propaganda, whereas pravda was mostly "white" propaganda. (The "black" part came when they placed stories in third world, and some first and second world) outlets, and then reported the stories as having come from those countries, not from them)
I was on You Tube one night, posting Health care facts on some of the videos. The bloggers were out in force with obvious talking points. People began to go after one of them and she said that she didn’t care one way or the other, she was just paid to post what they gave her.
After the election there was an article( which I saved but can’t find right now) how the Axelrod team figured they got millions of free advertising by using You Tube.
Go ahead, it might be entertaining. Likely not *all* of them work for the Justice Department.
Some probably work for Treasury, Homeland Security, and so forth.
They pack the CSPAN lines with these too, then they argue that the republicans that disappointed them should be more liberal. But we don't want to group these with those (like me ) that have legitimate complaints.
FR is not a republican site so we have to be careful and the R party still needs reform. If someone here is arguing that Obamas stimulus is working, or that his health reform will improve things, that's something that will put up red flags.
Like the ones on here that spend hours and hours on end refuting the BC. Why waste your time? If you think everything is fine with the BC, why bother? UNLESS you are on the other side. It makes no sense, unless they are just attention whores that like to copy and paste and argue, call other FReepers names(like idiot, etc.) and disrupt the thread.
Links not working, did they remove them? When they scrub, it means you are over the target.
MOST are on the birther threads and that’s how you know there is something big they need to squelch.
You know, there are a lot of FReepers. If we organized, we could do the same and beat them at their own game.
.
It was set at delay=9
I reset it at delay=6
I can reset the delay back to 9 or even slower
Let's keep it clean - dems can have the "criminal" ground - we don't need it.
Does DOJ maintain a public blog? LOL.
Yes we could do that, and defeat them here but it would take a longtime. They do it for pay, we do it for heart.
But your idea is sound and intriguing. The FR Warrior PING list.
So all these newspapers and internet sites should have records of IP addresses and see that some of these comments are from .gov sites.
Thanks for the ping - we have to fight this dem corruption - maybe O’Keefe can apply for a job there... or one of us. With a nice hidden camera.
Someone - like O’Keefe and Hannah - need to go to the Department of Justice and apply for a job. With an hidden camera ... or we need to sue. It’s one thing for dems to do this dirty trick - it’s quite another for it to be a government operation...
I wonder if one of them was Armstrong Williams.
Good advice, Smokin' Joe....worth repeating.
