Its doubtful youve read about because it shows Democrats and Trial Lawyers for what they really are: loathsome lying weasels.
On September 15 three White Republicans and a Black Democrat ran in a special election for State Senate in Jacksonville Florida.
A month before Election Day a racially inflammatory mailer reached 88,000 probably Black and Hispanic households in the district. It showed pictures of Barack Obama, Black Muslim leader Louis Farrakhan and several Blacks marching behind an ACORN banner. It asked, Is this the change YOU want to believe in? Violence and intimidation at the voting booth.
The sender was: The Conservative Voters Coalition. A group called Conservative Citizens for Justice funded it. The piece screamed, CONSERVATIVE RIGHT WING REPUBLICAN BIGOT: RACIAL HATER.
Naturally the local Democrats cried wet tears of anguish at this terrible affront especially so while the rest of the country was seeing town hall meetings national Democrats were trying to spin as KKK meetings.
Crying foul
In August immediately upon seeing the mailer a local Democrat spokesman said:
The Republicans behind the Conservative Voters Coalition should be ashamed of themselves for their disgusting race-baiting, which is nothing more than gutter politics at its worst..
What happened on September 23
The lobbying arm of Floridas Trial Lawyers Association was forced to admitted THEY and NOT ANY Republican individual or group was responsible for creating paying for and sending the inflammatory mailer designed to paint Republicans as race baiting goons.
Heres what happened on September 24
Even in the face of their Trail Lawyer masters full admission the same Democrat spokesman told the St. Petersburg Times: We not only stand by our statement from last month that the the Republicans behind the Conservative Voters Coalition should be ashamed of themselves..
Conservatives should be ashamed of themselves.? Now really?

They're like old generals--fighting new wars with old tactics, and that's a bad battle plan.
It’s a shame that the author didn’t include a photo of the mailer and a link to the lawyers in question.
If this is true then Fox, etc. should get all over it. What these lawyers did is in _essence_ slanderous, regardless what kind of legal cover and excuses and rationalizations they have.
Hopefully these goons are about to hear from Beck as I am about send the info to his watchdog site.
Having those pictures in the archive would be fun.
If history is any predictor, 95% of the blacks would have voted for the black candidate regardless, and most of the Hispanics would have because of the “D” after his name. So these leftist scumbags exposed their rank hypocrisy for nothing...
The trial lawyers were taking a chance, what if many of the voters agreed with the mailer and it made them change their mind?
Those minorities that don’t vote would not be affected either way. Many minorities might not even read the mailer. That leaves those minorities that vote and white people that got the mailer. If it turned even 1/4 of them off from voting for the minority candidate, especially after they found out who sent the mailer then this could actually help the white candidate.
All lawyers are loathsome creatures, not just trial lawyers.
The story is interesting, Alinsky and Obama smelling. Is it sourced, other than the blog?
A This is a typical legal response. That this was done by the Trial Lawyers, the membership of which is vastly Democrats and which, however, logically include a few 'registered' Republicans, the statement is true - no matter, how misleading. No response or another lie such as "I'm sorry" would have been more apppropriate.
We not only stand by our statement from last month that the the Republicans behind the Conservative Voters Coalition should be ashamed of themselves..
Such a statement can be either true or not true. Or not. It preserves their militant appearance while containing nothing actionable; as you say, all they need is a 'republican' among their affiliates, if'n it ever even comes down to that. They're the dregs of society regardless.
I’m a lawyer and I do some trial work, too. But I happen to be an avid supporter of tort reform and loathe the types of tactics carried out by the organized tort bar and the ABA. I love lawyer jokes, but I think it’s worth mentioning that 99% of lawyers give the rest of us a bad name.
Just googled CVC. Doesn’t come up in top hits. Is this really a group or just a sham for the purpose of smearing republicans?
LOL!
It would help if a couple of law suits where filed against these people and that they are made to pay BIG money to solve the problem. If the republcian loses he has a case for injury. Further, in my opinion libel is a factor because it uses the names which are similar to well known groups who are defamed by this action.
