Sept 24, 2009 — The evolutionary story of human origins is often told like a cultural myth that is intuitively obvious. Humans emerged in Africa after their ancestors came down from the trees and walked upright. They began to hunt with stone tools and used fire. They migrated north out of Africa and populated Europe, overtaking the Neanderthals who lacked the brain power and culture of their more evolved cousins. How much of this story is based on actual evidence? How much is interpolation of what “must” have happened based on an evolutionary view of natural history?

When the fourth sentence of a story contains such an obvious scientific flaw it is difficult to continue to read, let alone accept anything that follows, especially when it contains only opinion and supposition.
There is no evidence to support that Neanderthals had inferior brains. Quite the contrary, Neanderthals had larger brains than Homo Sapiens both in total mass and in proportion to body size.

Reductio ad absurdum. The real argument that YEC types will not address is whether God would have created and then used a process such as evolution to bring life and man into a dynamic universe. To reject this possibility is to deny that God created the science, mathematics and laws that govern the universe.
