We need a president, not a semi-pro talk show guest...

Yes, you can sure tell from this column that the Euroleftists are disappointed in the “zero.”

Laughed at this libtard in the comments section:

“Just think, we could be lampooning Bush and calling him a “monkey” again. Us liberals are happier with a Republican President. We can all behave like sociopaths and everyone has a jolly old laugh.”

Who would have thought that a hyped up teleprompter reader with no executive experience would have been an ineffectual boob?

The problem they see is that he is not enough of a Eurotrash socialist. Check out these excerpts from the article:

Europe has been increasingly critical of America's failures to live up to its global responsibilities. The US is not only the world's largest emitter of greenhouse gases but is by far the largest per capita emitter of carbon and other pollutants...

On the campaign trail, Barack Obama promised to reverse the Bush administration's terrible ecological record. Yet so far the world has seen more symbolic gestures from the Obama administration than accomplishments...

Here again, Europe is leading, while the Obama administration is dragging its feet. Europe has proposed far-reaching reforms designed to impose new rules on executive pay and bonuses,...

And now the money shot. A dig at the REAL problem - our Constitution.

it must be recognised that it's not just Obama's shortcomings that are causing the problem. The very structure of the American political system is at the heart of these failures. For example, thwarting Obama on a regular basis is an unrepresentative senate where "minority rule" prevails and undermines what a majority of the country may want. With two senators elected per state, regardless of population, California with more than 35 million people has the same number of senators as Wyoming with just half a million residents. This constitutional arrangement greatly favours low population states, many of which tend to be conservative, producing what one political analyst has called "a weighted vote for small-town whites in pickup trucks with gun racks."

The core of the problem is that Hussein can't do his job because of our outmoded 200+ year old Constitution.

He’s spending all of his political capital on one single flawed piece of legislation that the people don’t want. All of this TV time and all of this exposure and energy invested on one thing that is likely to either fail or pass with a great public outcry.

Does he plan to repeat the process on Cap N Tax or the other big Marxist monsters that are waiting in line for discussion?

He seems myopic, like a 13 year old.

Many leaders and supporters are beginning to wonder what is causing this growing gap between the Barack Obama that many people saw on the campaign trail, and the Obama they see in the White House?

No wondering in the USA, Obama is a Malignant Narccisist who's quest for power overrides all.

The president made the rounds on five news talkshows on Sunday as he pressed his policies and vision, preparing for what is likely to be a difficult week.

He could just as well have read the "Begat Chapters" and been more informative.

The time for being a stand-up BS'er on the campaign trail has long passed and he keeps trying to sell the same old sliced bread that has gone waaaaayyy past its "sell by" date.

Dear 0bama,

Great News!

I found a prostitute who charges by the inch.

I can't possibly afford her, but am forwarding her phone number to you so you can enjoy a cheap night out.

Yet many in the US and abroad are impatient with the pace direction of progress usurpation under the Obama administration.

Fixed.

The news site was so inundated with conservative viewpoints they already locked out further comments. Doesn’t do to let Brits hear voices of reason from outside their propaganda bubble.

Best response on that thread:

New headline "European Socialists Despair That Obama Cannot Tranform US Into European Styled, Economically Doomed, Socialist/Welfare State Fast Enough!!" Geez, Comrades, give a brother a little time. I mean, Obama already has the patronizing and contempt filled view of the average American regularly displayed on these forums by most pseudo-intellectual, liberal commentators. Obama's loathing of free market capitalism (as if any such thing actually existed in the US) is ALMOST to the levels of Guardian readers, as well. Give him time and I am sure that he will transform the US into a nanny state on a par with most of Western Europe and create a demographic time bomb where uneducated, Islamic radicals can simmer in hate and violence until such time as the dwindling native populations can be killed or forcefully assimilated. Patience, comrades, patience. It takes years to destroy Judeo-Christian values and become a fully secularized and meaningless sinkhole of medicority and laziness, ripe for destruction. Afterall, it took several generations for Europe to acheive this state. Give the man some time.

OK which of you wrote that?

Here’s Steven Hill’s bio from the “New America Foundation”:

***”Steven Hill is Director of the Political Reform Program at the New America Foundation, which seeks to identify and develop the best opportunities for political and electoral reform, educate opinion leaders and the public about electoral alternatives, and encourage the formation of a broad-based coalition for reform.

Mr. Hill is author of 10 Steps to Repair American Democracy and his previous books include Fixing Elections: The Failure of America’s Winner Take All Politics and Whose Vote Counts. His next book, Europe’s Promise: Why the European Way Is the Best Hope for an Insecure Age, will be published in August 2009. Mr. Hill’s articles and commentaries have appeared in the New York Times, Washington Post, Los Angeles Times, Wall Street Journal, International Herald Tribune, Prospect, The Guardian, American Prospect, The Nation, Prague Post, Christian Science Monitor, Chicago Tribune, Houston Chronicle and other leading publications. Mr. Hill has appeared on national and local radio and television programs, and has lectured widely in the United States and Europe. He has been a leading force for political reform in the United States for many years. Mr. Hill received a B.A. from Yale University in 1982.”***

Maybe the BA was in Basket Weaving. Because it certainly wasn’t in Political Science—his ignorance of US political systems is astounding.

It would appear that the staff of the Guardian has suddenly discovered the Senate and they don't like what they see. Two people elected from every state no matter what the population? How un-democratic! How...why, it's almost as if it were designed that way!

I'm all in favor of Europe taking the lead in reducing carbon, by which they mean carbon dioxide, emissions. It is, after all, perhaps the single silliest manifestation of a political enthusiasm among a global elite who know perfectly well that it means they get to control everyone's economic development. Meanwhile the next eruption of a medium-sized volcano throws the whole thing into the statistical obscurity it deserves. But the control mechanisms will be in place...forever. Fine, let them try it on themselves.

I seem to remember some poll showing “climate change” basically dead last among things worrying Americans.

Americans are NOT Europeans or even Canadians We do not like being ruled by elite tools. And “climate change” is the latest elite tool scam.
