Much hope has been invested in Barack Obama's ability to strike a new course for the US following eight years of Bush administration unpopularity. Yet many in the US and abroad are impatient with the pace of progress under the Obama administration. The president made the rounds on five news talkshows on Sunday as he pressed his policies and vision, preparing for what is likely to be a difficult week.

Nobody hates whitey more than the Euro-left, and ironically that’s where white people originated.
If you can believe it.
He’s spending all of his political capital on one single flawed piece of legislation that the people don’t want. All of this TV time and all of this exposure and energy invested on one thing that is likely to either fail or pass with a great public outcry.
Does he plan to repeat the process on Cap N Tax or the other big Marxist monsters that are waiting in line for discussion?
He seems myopic, like a 13 year old.
No wondering in the USA, Obama is a Malignant Narccisist who's quest for power overrides all.
He could just as well have read the "Begat Chapters" and been more informative.
The time for being a stand-up BS'er on the campaign trail has long passed and he keeps trying to sell the same old sliced bread that has gone waaaaayyy past its "sell by" date.
Great News!
I found a prostitute who charges by the inch.
I can't possibly afford her, but am forwarding her phone number to you so you can enjoy a cheap night out.
Fixed.
Probably thinks the apostrophe was left off... i'mpotent
This is some of the most disturbing text in the article, criticizing the fundamental structure of our “republic”.
They do say, “None of these anti-democratic structural features are going away any time soon”, but sometimes I wonder. Too many of our citizens simply don’t understand the simple fact that “we are a republic, not a democracy - but that’s a GOOD thing!”. Too many are pathetically undereducated.
The news site was so inundated with conservative viewpoints they already locked out further comments. Doesn’t do to let Brits hear voices of reason from outside their propaganda bubble.
New headline "European Socialists Despair That Obama Cannot Tranform US Into European Styled, Economically Doomed, Socialist/Welfare State Fast Enough!!" Geez, Comrades, give a brother a little time. I mean, Obama already has the patronizing and contempt filled view of the average American regularly displayed on these forums by most pseudo-intellectual, liberal commentators. Obama's loathing of free market capitalism (as if any such thing actually existed in the US) is ALMOST to the levels of Guardian readers, as well. Give him time and I am sure that he will transform the US into a nanny state on a par with most of Western Europe and create a demographic time bomb where uneducated, Islamic radicals can simmer in hate and violence until such time as the dwindling native populations can be killed or forcefully assimilated. Patience, comrades, patience. It takes years to destroy Judeo-Christian values and become a fully secularized and meaningless sinkhole of medicority and laziness, ripe for destruction. Afterall, it took several generations for Europe to acheive this state. Give the man some time.
OK which of you wrote that?
Here’s Steven Hill’s bio from the “New America Foundation”:

Maybe the BA was in Basket Weaving. Because it certainly wasn’t in Political Science—his ignorance of US political systems is astounding.
I'm all in favor of Europe taking the lead in reducing carbon, by which they mean carbon dioxide, emissions. It is, after all, perhaps the single silliest manifestation of a political enthusiasm among a global elite who know perfectly well that it means they get to control everyone's economic development. Meanwhile the next eruption of a medium-sized volcano throws the whole thing into the statistical obscurity it deserves. But the control mechanisms will be in place...forever. Fine, let them try it on themselves.
Geez...that does it...to hell with with ever saving Europe again!
I seem to remember some poll showing “climate change” basically dead last among things worrying Americans.
Americans are NOT Europeans or even Canadians We do not like being ruled by elite tools. And “climate change” is the latest elite tool scam.
