If we just had Palin NOW, I’d feel a lot better. God help us make it to the next major election. But if Zero turns us against Israel (as it looks like he will), we’re toast. Not even God will help us.

I've never heard Mark Levin on the radio, but I bought and read the first two chapters of his book Liberty and Tyranny. It was, frankly, one of the worst books I've read. I agreed with him, but the laziness of his effort was glaring. I was angry at Rush for about two weeks for recommending it.

So, I'm inclined to side with Beck. I've speculated on these forums many times that I thought Obama was a better choice than McCain. I voted for McCain under the thinking that you don't win by losing, but I was glad he didn't win. McCain would have dragged the Republican brand through the mud, and we didn't need that after eight years of Bush, who angered left and right. It's Obama's turn to ruin the Democrats' name, and the guy is so hardcore left that he will remind us for the next 15+ years that liberals are really, really BAD. They aren't some sexy Che Guevarra revolutionary T-shirt. My hope was and is that he is so inexperienced and so leftist that he will fail, and I hope for all our sake that he does fail.

I was talking about fighting this out publicly.

Besides, as many have pointed out here Beck isn’t a Republican and I understand the aversion to McCain. I voted for Sarah.

I’m hoping that He’ll help us. Praying for it. Look at the people who don’t like what’s happening. I hope God has mercy on us because of that.

I agree with you that Levin has influenced Rush. However, I think Levin has a good point in that Beck is treading on dangerous grounds by dissing the GOP the way he does. Beck is a “pox on both their houses” kind of guy. That is true of course, to a point but you dont want the masses to clamor for a third party. That would be the worst outcome. Levin is correct that the Republican party needs to be rebuilt (taken over) from the inside, with our guys.

quite a few of us knew Obama was going to be bad, even this bad, but most of the country had no idea.

Yes, I had every expectation that he would be as terrible as he is, but I am still surprised that so many dont feel as strongly as we do. My conclusion is the blame for the ignorance lies with the MSM feeding the masses propaganda. Most people are just too accustomed to belieiving what their favorite anchor person says and dont think outside of the MSM box.

PS. I am a Levinite and big Rush fan, and since they are my "anchors", i do follow along with what they say. I love Mark, but he has to realize that even the 56 Founding Fathers may have had their differences too, but they didnt let that deter them from their ultimate goal.

It is sad to read this entire thread - Beck detractors should face it -— Beck was instrumental in bringing ACORN to its knees and getting Van Jones dumped ... I don’t recall any of our other Conservative heroes being so bold or effective...

Levin, Hannity, Rush, et al are all great - and are much needed - but Beck stuck his neck out more and got results... I am waiting for the others to do likewise...

McCain, Romney, Rudy and others are pathways to mediocrity and any of them would have sucked us in to Liberal Lite... While decent men all - I will never go out of my way to vote for McCain, Romney, Rudy or any of the pretend Conservatives... as they are all too eager — all too willing to ‘give away the Conservative Store’ in the name of Compromise...

Liberals/Leftists don’t compromise - McCain just thought they did. For the life of me I cannot figure McCain out — what good does McCain ever think comes of groveling with Democrat Liberals and Leftists — what ever came of it that has benefited Americans... ??? Answer - NOTHING - absolutely nothing ... just harm... McCain is not right in the head - never has been since that awful time in prison camp. As a fellow Vietnam Vet, I would hug the guy if we ever met — but McCain is not fit for the office of President and never has been...

I am a great fan of Whittaker Chambers who outlines in “Witness” how people just disappear when not towing the Communist line. Also, “Radical Son” by David Horowitz lays out the case for the leftists disregard for human life. Look how McCarthy was destroyed and lied about in the press when he was correct.... and that was 50 years ago! (Of course, we didn’t have the internet then, though)

Marxism and fascism is what we are fighting here and they are extremely deadly to anyone who opposes them. If they get complete control, Beck will be toast (and he knows it.) It won’t matter how much money Beck has in the bank, etc., the IRS will confiscate it and destroy him just the way Clinton used the IRS to destroy his enemies. Unlawful....yes, but look what Clinton got away with and that was over 10 years ago. Obambie has his jackboots all in place and if America doesn’t wake up, we won’t exist even as a quasi-free nation.

Is Beck for open borders?

No he is not! Beck defended the MinuteMen back when Dubya and the legacy media were calling us 'vigilantes.'

http://lmgtfy.com/?q=glen+beck+open+borders

MALKIN: Hi, Glenn.

GLENN: Have you ever seen such an audacious slap in the face to the American people as this?

MALKIN: I haven't felt one like this in a long time, Glenn. I'm still reeling from it. But I do hope that as more people find out about McCain's open border roots that they won't buy the dye job that he's given himself and the instant immigration makeover that he's trying to sell to conservatives and Republicans.

GLENN: Okay, I want you to lay it -- two pieces of audio, one from John McCain being asked about it and then another piece of audio from the gentleman that is now working with him. So you tell me the best time to play it while you explain what he's doing right now behind everybody's back.

MALKIN: Sure. Well, last month I received a tip from a concerned reader and she had listened to John McCain speak to the Hispanic Republicans in Nevada at a conference and apparently at this conference McCain was trying to tout his connection to a man named Dr. Juan Hernandez who has been named the national director of Hispanic outreach for the McCain 2008 campaign. This reader of mine was appalled when she learned of this hire and it had exactly the opposite effect that apparently McCain wanted it to have. This was supposed to be reassuring to Hispanic Republicans that this guy had been hired as outreach.

My colleague at hotair.com, Bryan Preston, confirmed this staff hire and, in fact, on John McCain's daughter's campaign website, there's a lovely, cozy picture of Juan Hernandez pivoting with Meghan McCain and Mark MacKinnon who is the campaign guru for John McCain. Well, who is this guy? I'm quite familiar with him. I've debated him several years on the cable TV circuit because he's one of the most ubiquitous ethnocentric open borders zealots on the scene.

GLENN: I have never -- you know what, Michelle, he's been on my show quite a few times. In fact, I've banned him from the show. I'm just not going to give the guy any more airtime.

Glenn Beck is just target practice.

Once they’ve perfected their smear brush, it will be used against Palin, Bachmann, DeMint, etc.

I love Glenn Beck when he’s on a roll, but he sometimes goes overboard a bit. He sometimes seems to be as hard on Republicans as Democrats, but I think he is bending over backward to appear above partisanship.

I’ve been watching the GOP since the days of Richard Nixon and my view is that Nixon felt the middle was the way to go and his style has pervaded the GOP leadership with the notable exception of Reagan.

Conservatives are around to have their emotions manipulated for votes in elections by talk show hosts like Rush, Levin, Hannity etc.

On a personal level, I like Beck because he speaks of his sanity and sobriety. He speaks of having lived “in a fantasy world” and as “a recovering alcoholic.”

I think his mind is sounder than a lot of people out there who get conned into believing the GOP is always good and must be voted for over Democrats.

There are times in my life when I haven’t voted that way.

The fight for the GOP is a hard one and a third option may help to scare them into line with making government smaller in this country.
