You might think a posthumous Medal of Honor award ceremony would be a somber occasion, but not everyone would agree with you. Either this is an especially skillful photo shop effort or Michelle Obama has no clue whatsoever about the nature of this event. U.S. Army Sergeant First Class Jared C. Monti’s parents received the award for him. I hope they didn’t notice the first lady’s stunningly inappropriate dress, but that’s unlikely.

I was just wondering — had not checked any sites.
If she wanted to stay cool — sleeveless dress, why didn’t she choose a solid color dress, red, navy blue, burgundy — anything — just make is stately and a solid color!
BTW, my opinion only, it would be always best for the first wife to always appear in a suit.
But I think she wants people to feel comfortable and so she dresses down..........not making excuses for her atrocious choices, just a thought.

I agree....it is all an ‘in your face’ attitude that she has when she deliberately wears inappropriate outfits. Also, I think she is color blind. She simply has to be. But, why doesn’t her mother say something to her? Even her daughters must see how awful she looks most of the time.
Pandering to the lowest common denominator.
If you dress up, talk with civility, and act like a gentleman or lady, people today take offense and think you are trying to be their better. They have no education from parents or society to tell them the civil dress, talk, and behaviors are a sign of respect to them.
The new NFL culture of millionaire thugs with (mostly) single digit IQs, massive quantities of money, and no know schooling in being civil human beings have led the league to pander to the crass and classless.
I stopped watching years ago and have absolutely no intent to watch another NFL game again. The players and press bore me and make me sick.

what i don’t get are the belts, especially the latest one, the bondage belt. i have to laugh when i see pics of this person dressed as they are;someone isn’t looking in the mirror hard enough. Why the belts? it certainly doesn’t do anything for her bustline and the latest bondage belt was overlaid on top of a rather nice dress with a color banded and defined waistline! This FLOTUS is FLATUS & FLUUTUS - a very mixed up invidual .

ER had tremendous sadness in her life, and overcame so much. Michelle could only dream to be the First Lady that Eleanor was. And, ER knew how to dress properly for her role....something Michelle is not capable or willing to do.
Additionally, ER was a more positive force for the advancement of African Americans than Michelle will ever be. Michelle's is a hater just like her favorite preacher. ER glowed with love for all people.
I see so much beauty in Eleanor....not so with Michelle.
Again...those gawd awful green colored shoes. It is bad enough that Michelle does not care to wear pantyhose as a lady should (not that she is a lady) but after wearing those shoes so many times, I imagine they might not smell very nice by now. They are the ugliest shade of green ever. Kinda like two day old pea soup.

I have just read all 336 posts and I think so far everyone is missing what must have happened. Michelle running late for the event rushes to get ready. Still being fairly new to the White House residence (or in Obamaspeak my house) with its many closets. She selects a gay and happy looking party dress and hurriedly puts it on only to discover by the surprised look on Barack Husseins face that the dress came from the wrong closet. Whos closet you ask? The other person living in the White House residence. Michelles momma. No not her. Give Up Yet? This gay and happy looking party dress has previously only been used for special occasions by Barack and its owner Larry Sinclair. Barack also has a closet that he has been staying in. Case solved. Your welcome.

I remember looking for a dress for my daughter’s Sweet 16 party. She is born in January, so all we saw for the longest time was black and red, for new years, etc. We finally found a great one, midnight blue. Thank you Macy’s, but it was a quest to find it.
