You might think a posthumous Medal of Honor award ceremony would be a somber occasion, but not everyone would agree with you. Either this is an especially skillful photo shop effort or Michelle Obama has no clue whatsoever about the nature of this event. U.S. Army Sergeant First Class Jared C. Monti’s parents received the award for him. I hope they didn’t notice the first lady’s stunningly inappropriate dress, but that’s unlikely.

Yes, the word garish comes to mind. Also, I agree with everyone on this thread that has said she's disrespectful. My husband, who usually doesn't comment on this stuff, just said maybe she has no fashion sense, but if that's true, why not listen to someone who does. Surely, there is a fashion czar?

You'll just have to trust the ladies read on this one. A woman's dress choice displays her attitude and mood. Michelle Mabelle should have toned it down DRASTICALLY for this type of occasion.
