Overall, 49% of voters say they at least somewhat approve of the President’s performance. Fifty (50%) now disapprove.
Not low or fast enough for me. This pos should be in the sewer by now.
Still at 49-50 on the real poll. He’s been a few points lower. Hope the trend continues.
OBOZO was at -7 on Sat so some heavy negatives in last 24 hrs to drop him 2 points in 1 day.
The solution of course is more cowbell!!
For the past few months, Obama’s overall approvals have hovered at the 50/50 mark. Healthcare is the only issue that people have a problem with Obama.
Obama needs to be perceived as a failure on other issues inorder for his overall approval ratings to go down.
not sure about heavy negatives, a one or two point move is margin of error stuff.
This makes my Sunday morning cup of coffee that much better!
The problem is that many, many millions of Americans believe there is no right or wrong, no good or evil and all is equal. These people therefore can’t stand anything good, decent, normal or productive and want to see it destroyed. Most of Barack’s supporters like him because he is bad and that is not going to change.
No, it’s BAD NEWS. It’s up 5 points from a month ago. We’ve had ACORN for prostitutes, Van Johnson, and ObamaCare since it was at -14 in August. What’s the deal?
The thing is the trend, which is linked to the source. He was up to -3 at the beginning of last week, coming off the joint session the previous week.
Wait until Christmas hits. I have a feeling that things are going to get worse for Barry’s poll #s as unemployment deepens. By then I expect unemployment in places like CA to be almost 15%
And of course with trickle up poverty, this means that lots of people are going to feel the sting. From toy manufacturers, to video game manufacturers, to car dealers, to jewelry, etc. And then the layoffs will just snowball.
I really think we’re in for 4-6 years of complete economic ruin.
Misery, thy name is Obama.
Signed,
Rockefeller Republicans at the RNC, NRCC, and NRSC
I believe his numbers were very low in August because his supporters were angry at him for 'not aggressive enough in defending the health care reform', especially with the rumor that he was ready to drop the public option. In other words, those who thought he was not leftist enough.
But as predicted by many. The "Speech Bounce" is over. Will there be a "Sunday Show Blitz" bounce. Only the Shadow (and Rasmussen) know for sure. But we will all know in a few days.
You are correct. The graph tells the entire story — almost all movement was on the Strongly Approves side of the graph. The strongly disapproves, while they dipped slightly — held pretty consistently.
But the freeloaders were starting to think things were back on track.
At the March on DC - there was a significant showing of a lot more disapproval than just the Health Care Lie - just go look at the photos and the signs. The signs were protesting many issues in hundreds of unique ways. This broader range of issues also showed up strongly in the Town Hall meetings as people just brought up other issues to protest about all on their own...
Granted the Health Care Legislative LIE is the one that has brought citizens to their feet to complain. But the folks are also quite aware of the negative effects of TARP, the GM/Chrysler Govt. take over, the Cap and Trade LIE, the Card Check LIE - but to a lesser degree as these issues are erroneously seen as not affecting them as much or as directly...
More and more among the Fly Over Middle Class and the Social Security Crowd - Obama has become the negative issue himself... No evidence other than his continued Marxist, Fascist, Socialist nature and gaggle of like minded associates to arouse the ire of the people.
Throw in Obama’s close relationship with ACORN and having to dump Van Jones ... well ‘things’ are now going our way...
IIRC, OTOH, that it’s down from after he made his speech.
