That’s unfair to Freepers who have lost jobs and to those who are truly struggling.
The day of the Jackson Michigan Tea Party I had $11 in my pocket. 10 of that went in my gas tank to go to the rally and the other dollar went into the kitty for the Tea Party express.
The rudeness of it took me aback also, DJ MacWoW. I am only working part-time and having to live with my daughter who’s in the Navy. Totally uncalled for post by NautiNurse on such a great day for all conservatives, IMO.
Yeah, I already feel like a turd for not being there. But I’ve taken a 10% pay cut this year, had my hours cut back quite a bit, and just had to pay for some major life event stuff that I’d rather not discuss. I probably won’t even have a job in a few months. It’s all I can do to keep it together. I wouldn’t care if I didn’t have family obligations, but I have to think of my duty to my family. I know, pretty pathetic compared to the sacrifices of the founders. If things get real bad and I have nothing to lose, that might be a different story...
Yeah, I suppose if your family hasn’t had work in 6 mos. and you live halfway across the country it’s just an excuse not to be able to afford to be there. And, that’s because we really don’t care at all, right? Those of us who are suffering — you know the ones you are supposedly there to protest on behalf of... Those of us who are already being hurt by Obama’s policies? No, that’s definitely not a very nice thing to say...
Thank you for saying that, DJ. Some of are battling our own personal economic depressions at this time.
I'd give anything to be in DC today. I'm thankful for the many other patriotic Americans who are there representing those of us who can't be.
