Please post your updates from D.C. and from news reports here as well as your photos of the day.
Our Walter Reed salute to the troops last night was very well attended. Upwards of 800 people were there over the three-plus hours of the demonstration.
Photos and video taken by This Ain'tHell taken in daylight before the bulk of the crowd showed can be viewed here.

I agree with you. Not everybody who wants to be there can be there. I’m recovering from surgery and in my own circle of friends, one couldn’t get a sitter, another couldn’t get time off from work, and another couple just aren’t physically able to go b/c it’s a pain to travel and march with a walker and some just cannot financially afford to be there. Being there in spirit counts, too.
FWIW, I too have no conceivable way to get there.
Most likely most of us realize there are people such as ourselves and others who cannot.
That is only reasonable if you know what dire situations some people are in, as well as who is depending on them that they can’t leave.
SHOCK THEIR SOCKS OFF! HA!
I don’t want to watch “other” stations”, but FOX is barely mentioning this. Their news headlines just now LED with Obama’s rally for healthcare reform in Min. Showed first family boarding Air Force One. Then brief “close in” shot of DC rally. With no mention of size.
Fox often disappoints when it counts the most. We must rely on each other and alternate media to get our messages out.
Oh my GOD!! Anyone have any numbers yet??!
This is fantastic!
The BOZO Pres is just about to fly out in his helicopter. Wait till he sees all the “astroturf” in his front yard !!!
CAN YOU HEAR US NOW ??
Hang in there Jersey! Just like our military men and women stand on that wall for ALL Americans, especially those who can’t, so too do our patriotic FRiends march on Washington on our behalf. I could not attend due to starting a new job last month (praise God!) however, I will attend our local rally from 4-7 pm here in town proudly, in the pouring rain so it seem it will be, and stand where I can, in the gap for FREEDOM!! God be with you and know that we are ALL with you in your struggle! Put a sign in your yard, attend a local rally if possible, but most importantly, pray hard for the safety and success of the patriot march and for the confusion and confounding of our enemies. We are all brothers and sisters here, a sibling tiff will happen here and there, but in the end, we are ALL in this together!! xoxo (a former jersey girl :)
It was an undeserved slap.
Great choice
Thanks for posting it
Yeah, I already feel like a turd for not being there. But I’ve taken a 10% pay cut this year, had my hours cut back quite a bit, and just had to pay for some major life event stuff that I’d rather not discuss. I probably won’t even have a job in a few months. It’s all I can do to keep it together. I wouldn’t care if I didn’t have family obligations, but I have to think of my duty to my family. I know, pretty pathetic compared to the sacrifices of the founders. If things get real bad and I have nothing to lose, that might be a different story...
We have to make a concerted effort not to watch any programs on NBC/CBS/ABC regardless of how good the shows are
I would be glad to join you in this but I haven’t watched those networks for years. I have Direct TV and so many other channels to watch that those network channels are irrelevant. Times they are achangin.
You do realize Glenn Beck will be covering it for about 3 hrs. when the coverage does start.
have you a view with www.trafficland.com?
Vent all you want but don’t let it get to you. The crowds are growing into the million range so they will not be able to ignore it much longer.
YES WE CAN TAKE OUR COUNTRY BACK!!
We each do what we can. Thank you for all you have done in the past and what you will again do when you are able. Thank God there are many who are able to be there, and who will gladly speak for those of us who are strapped at present. Without sniping at us.
I am proud of all who attended. I would be there if not for my poor finances.
I just get angry when i feel as though someone is kicking me when I am down....I cannot fight the system to get a job or $$ so I lash back when I feel attacked!!
Apologies, but it was a poor thing to post with so many people hurting. I will end it there.
