Please post your updates from D.C. and from news reports here as well as your photos of the day.
Our Walter Reed salute to the troops last night was very well attended. Upwards of 800 people were there over the three-plus hours of the demonstration.
Photos and video taken by This Ain'tHell taken in daylight before the bulk of the crowd showed can be viewed here.

Hey, there. Great pics! Looked for you and MLF in the crowd, but for some reason, I couldn’t find you. ;-)
Great day to be a Patriot, no?

Every FReeper who supports this rally in spirit (who couldnt be there) should make ONE post to this thread, and it will be a sort of informal tally of FReepers who would have gone if they could
Dont forget me!!!

"Can anybody produce a picture of a single person of color at the teabag rally? It is not worth our time engaging the koolaid drinking mind-number ObamaBOTS.
Also look up Deneen Borelli, Mason Weaver. This has never been about color, it's about culture.

Thank you for sharing the photos.
I'm in awe at the originality and creativeness of these Patriots. There's just NO WAY we can't not get our Country back with all this talent. This Tea Party touched every single facet of today's troubles. It's not just one thing but many and they affect ALL. One can learn so much from just reading the signs.
It would be fantastic if a dvd of the signs and people was made.

hows the weather??? Im praying its okay for the patriots....Your prayers were answered. The weather was PERFECT! It was predominately overcast with with only a few breaks in the clouds. It never rained and the sun did not did not stay out long enough to overheat or sunburn the crowd. There was no real shade available for that number of people. A slight breeze helped keep things cool enough for all of us. In other words, weatherwise, God was looking out for all of us assembled there. Thanks for your prayers.

They're also singing:
Hey Nobama,
Hey Nobama
Hey Hey, You Lie!

Not being there is so disappointing. I have never missed a rally or protest or counter protest before and have spent many hours standing with other Freepers at the WH and throughout DC in the past. I just cant walk more than a few steps right now, and am having surgery to correct it next week. I'm sad to hear that you weren't there. I tried to find other FReepers, but the crowd was so large that I never came across FReepers that I knew. It was an amazing, wonderful experience. I ended up near the stage on the right side (pun intended). In every direction I looked, there was a sea of people. Homeland Security has given an estimate of 2 million people. I can believe it.
I hope your surgery goes well. You are in my prayers.

I was at the march and only saw one helicopter. At the time I thought it was a news helicopter, but now I'm pretty sure it was DC park police or DHS since it looked a lot like this.
