Please post your updates from D.C. and from news reports here as well as your photos of the day.
Our Walter Reed salute to the troops last night was very well attended. Upwards of 800 people were there over the three-plus hours of the demonstration.
Photos and video taken by This Ain'tHell taken in daylight before the bulk of the crowd showed can be viewed here.

Wow, thanks for the traffic cam. It’s a hugh crowd. LOL. Nearly brings tears to my eyes to see all those patriots!

I remember when Santelli first made his Tea Party rant in February.
Neil Cavuto gave brief coverage and then remarked that it would be a day or two event and then would fizzle.
Well, Neil, fizzle seems to have turned into SIZZLE.

Bulls & Bears is ticking me off. This is not what I’m tuning into see. They should be giving full coverage to the events in D.C. FNC is clueless.

I agree. Also, the expense they are incurring - it should be a tax write off! They are doing what the elected officials refuse to do while getting paid to do it!

The MSNBC anchor babe is incredulous . . her voice was rising when she said: “There have to be 100,000 people there”.
Now they’re discussing whether these 100,000 people are “freaks and nutballs”.

I agree - the new ROE are a complete mistake and downright criminal! Thanks for spotlighting what should be plastered on every media outlet.
August was the deadliest month for our troops. So sad. Pray for our military.

Can you imagine how huge the crowd would be if all the people who wanted to be there but couldn't were there???Imagine how small the crowd would be if all the people who scrambled and sacrificed to be there found reasons they could not attend.

This crowd is already much larger than seen in Tehran during their protests yet the media managed to overcome the Mullahs oppression to free speech and cover it. Now, not so much. Telling.

I think the correct term is “mobsters”. Funny how they look like everyday Americans, isn’t it?

Anyone know why the US flag in the pic at post 259 appears to be at half mast?
Is it because our Resident-In-Chief is Half Ast?
