Coast Guard fired on boat in the Potomac, nothing on the wires yet...
The motorcade passed by then.I just got the chills.
If it bleeds, it leads. They may be liberals, but they’re in the ad-selling business first. This stuff keeps people watching cable news.
There is never a time NOT to train.Example #1: Common sense is not so common ...
I have been predicting this for days!
I wouldn't be surprised if CG did apprise CNN of that, long ago. Good news travels slowly.
I do. In fact, I think thats EXACTLY what they should be doing on 9-11.Great. I just don't want you in charge of anything I'm involved with then ...
They did this after their Obamma protection mission. They were done! They were free to do whatever and go back to the dock. The commander, as they almost always do, chose to use the time to train.
It is that simple. There is no fault or mistake by the guard. This is the fault of those who aired the errant information and now want someones head to blame to save face and blame others for it. Typical liberal stuff...
Can't you see that?
The Associated Press, though, just sent out this alert:
Coast Guard: Training conducted in Potomac River moments before Obama motorcade crossed.
http://www.npr.org/blogs/thetwo-way/2009/09/ap_shots_fired_on_potomac_were.html
Look, even though training is a must, it is odd that they’d train at that time, on this day, around the time of the memorials. It’s no better, really, than Obama sending one of his planes to buzz Manhattan, except on this day, it’s even worse. So some Coastie is for sure going to take the fall for this, whether or not he (or she) should. Any training could have waiting until 9/12 or later. Any training of this sort SHOULD have waited until a less sensitive time.
On the other hand, the populace is again reminded of the ongoing threats against this country.
I don’t believe a word coming out of this administration, regardless who delivers it.
Zip.
If there’s anything to blame the Coast Guard for, it’s using unsecure channels for tactical communication. Shouldn’t they have something like SINCGARS for this?
CNN pulled a real bad boner here, and you are blaming the subject of a errant story for the errant story?
Does that not seem kosher to you? No alarms at all?????
So you condone ill-timed excercises by law enforcement on the morning of 9-11?"
Can you?
</clueless>
I just love people who expose themselves early on - easier to avoid them later when something important actually happens.
I don’t buy your explanation. Back to my question..If the Coast Guard does these excercises every day or every week or so..why hasn’t the MSM jumped the gun before now? I assume all the radio traffic ‘training speak’ is the same in every excercise.
They jumped the gun because they were monitoring traffic in and around the POTUS. The MSM never did that when President Bush was POTUS..NEVER!! In fact..they made fun of him right after 911 when he was taken to a safe place. They tried to make Americans think that President Bush was a coward..blahblahblah.
The MSM is nothing but a bunch of corrupt anti-american leftists. FOX NEWS excluded from remark of course.
Wow.
And do YOU believe every word uttered at a press conference? (Do the words “I never had sex with that woman” ring a bell?)
I’m not saying it’s not as the USCG stated. I’m just saying, keep an open mind. We’ve all been lied to before. In fact, most recently at the latest Obama speech.
CNN pulled a real bad boner here, and you are blaming the subject of a errant story for the errant story?Did you see the last line in the CG memo issued re: this event:
How and when this exercised was conducted will be reviewed.Boneheaded move by someone. That's the bigger 'take-away' from this event.
After this crap, I would think that training exercises will probably be added to the ultra-secret radio traffic.<>P>Good grief! I could see if they had put it out over the CB radio, but these channels are restricted to LEO's and Military. It's really technically illegal to be listening, but nobody enforces it and radio shack sells the scanners.
I recall a legal battle many years ago over this issue, but I don't recall how it came out. I suppose it must still be ambiguous law.
