Learning the Love the Imperial Presidency

Every four to eight years, two ever-shrinking cliques band together to elect their great white hope to the "highest office in the land" and then wait starry eyed for their guy to graciously bestow that promised hope and change upon the country, his so-called "fellow Americans". It's bullshit. The presidency is an elected office with powers that should be limited and used to preserve our freedoms instead of saving us from ourselves. Nowadays all of these theatrics are there to distract attention from simple facts. The people we are elevating to the presidency are relatively mediocre mortals with serious flaws whose achievements and character do not even come close to entitling them to what so many fools see as the presidency. Washington himself was imperfect but commanded respect for his efforts long before he was elected. That, and for obeying the constitution that he helped create and really did want to preserve, unlike so many of his successors.

The apology doesn’t matter. He had a moment of clarity that needs to be supported. The LIBS don’t care about it and we shouldn’t either. His apology will be a footnote but the outburst will be “seared” in everyone’s memory.

Upstaging the opposition's speech has been done for YEARS by the Left. How many times have you seen a headline like, "Protester throws pie at official" or "G8 Conference marred by violence"?

It steals their thunder, alters headlines and shifts time off the 30-second nightly newscast. The media THRIVES on conflict. I don't condone violence, but conflict has shaped all facets of humanity — government, religion, geography, etc. Furthermore, the Left is going to call Conservatives a$$holes anyway, so don't be an appeaser RINO. Live by conviction and you can't go wrong.

It's called "Civil Disobedience," my fellow Conservatives — get use to it! Gandhi was quite successful with it. The road ahead is long and far. The window to speak up and stop the Marxist takeover is rapidly closing. Use your First Amendment rights while you have them.

So, right after the President called everyone a liar who believes that his Health Care Plan will lead to death panels (which, though not called that-of course-it most certainly will lead to government administrators making policy decisions on who gets coverage and when), thereby calling tens of Amillions of Americans liars...you correctly call him a liar when he states that his Health Care Plan will not benefit illegal aliens...and you apologize?
