President Barack Obama's adviser Van Jones has resigned amid controversy over past inflammatory statements, the White House said early Sunday.
Van Jones, an administration official specializing in environmentally friendly "green jobs," has been linked to efforts suggesting a government role in the Sept. 11 terror attacks and to derogatory comments about Republicans.
Jones issued an apology on Thursday. When asked the next day whether Obama still had confidence in him, White House press secretary Robert Gibbs said only that Jones "continues to work in the administration."
The matter surfaced after news reports of a derogatory comment Jones made in the past about Republicans, and separately, of Jones's name appearing

I’m kinda disappointed about it, ‘cuz like the saying goes, Jones is the gift that keeps on giving. Besides, Obama will find another, more subtle person to take Jones’ place, someone w/ a “cleaner” background while continuing his treasonous / pro-Communist attack on our Constitution.

Excellent news. I don’t care if it comes on a holiday weekend. It needed to happen.
My guess is that it wasn’t public opinion that caused Jones to quit. He got the 411 from above that it was time to stop the bleeding for Obama’s sake.
Good riddance to the racist, un-American leftist.
It should be more about his memberships and associations and philosophies, more so than anything he said, as as a-holes.

The main problem in this adminstration is that they think they can do anything - dem congress, dem senate - they feel they are untouchable. They forget that many of the people who voted for them are idiots to begin with and can easily change their minds to be against them.
