Another Apology May Be Coming From Van Jones

White House green jobs czar Van Jones had apologized twice this week for making regrettable statements and there may be another one coming.

His name is posted online in support of an October 2006 petition to stop police brutality posted by the Revolution newspaper, which describes itself as the “Voice of the Revolutionary Communist Party, USA.” The petition was created by a group called the October 22nd Coalition that seeks to "meet the intensifying nationwide epidemic of police brutality with resistance on the national level" and says it works with the International Concerned Family and Friends of Mumia Abu Jamal.

Other groups and individuals signing the petition include: Act Now to Stop War and End Racism, Freedom Socialist Party of San Francisco, International Socialist Organization of San Francisco, Justice4Palestinians, New Black Panther Party's New York Chapter and the Party for Socialism and Liberation.

Exactly right. All Van Jones requires to continue in his little empire is support from a single constituent -- Barak Obama himself. He is not accountable to anyone else, or to Congress. Ultimately that is what it means to be a "Czar."

As an “advisor” he is not required to undergo “vetting”. He would, however, need a Presidential Waiver to allow him to enter the White House (at least under previous guidelines). I assume he has received all the vetting he is going to receive. That is why it is up to all of us to make certain Mr. Jones embraces his new-found lifestyle of advancing the “Constitution” as it stands, or a lawful change (which requires a lengthy, voted upon amendment).

but Clinton was impeached for the blue dress incident (well for lying under oath about it).

It was not the impeachment that was important, after all he beat the rap. It was from the time that Monica broke Clinton was unable to get any but the most trivial legislation passed. And what he did do, like Kosovo, was all wag the dog stuff, not the communist takeover stuff from earlier in his administration.

I agree that Obama should be impeached, but not because of Van Jones specifically. He should be removed from office the appointment of the czars, when not approved by congress. Doing so constitutes an illegal usurpation of power. So it doesn't matter who the czar is, giving legal or budgetary power to any czar is an impeachable offense. It is just much easier to argue that fact with a communist like Van Jones as the center of attention.
