White House Withdraws Call for Students to 'Help' Obama

President Obama's plan to inspire the nation's schoolchildren with a video address next week erupted into controversy Wednesday, forcing the White House to pull out its eraser and rewrite a government recommendation that teachers nationwide assign students a paper on how to "help the president," the Washington Times reported.

Presidential aides acknowledged the White House helped the U.S. Education Department craft the proposal, which immediately was met by fierce criticism from Republicans and conservative organizations who accused Obama of trying to politicize the education system.

Please Conservatives, Patriots, something does not smell right here, it seems , all the things since the health care debate, they have not given much resistance and backed off easily.

All due respect but I think they were so confident they had all the power they would ever need. They proceeded so quickly they thought they were unstoppable. They never expected the American "sheeple" to react so negatively so quickly.

They underestimated their enemy. The got cocky. Two things you should never do in a battle. They thought they had it won and now it's slipping away (hopefully) never to return.

In short, they're not anywhere smart enough to have this entire fuster-cluck be a "plan." No way.

Republicans are asleep, ‘public education’ became politicized when the supremes gave the ‘scientific methodology’ standing. The JonStewart media campaign ad for Obamanation was that the majority of under 40 college educated were Bama supporters. That is no accident.

Its the reason for the push to keep kids in school for as long as possible. Too many of them are leaving college and going out and thinking for themselves. Our local community college is building dorms for some reason. It makes no sense to need dorms for students who primarily live a half hour away or less.
