My son built one, they’re great fun. We took his into Best Buy and turned off all the TVs, and it always goes on trips with us.

This is speculative and unprovable. Kennedy qualified for both Medicare and his federal employees’ health benefits plan, but we don’t know whether one or both paid for his surgery at Duke. What we do know is that Kennedy could afford the best care money could buy: he could have gone anywhere in the world for surgery, yet he did NOT end up in Canada, Britain, France or any of the other European health systems that purportedly are vastly superior to the U.S. in quality. Nor, for that matter, did he get it done at government-run Bethesda Naval Hospital (even though as a Senator he was entitled to completely free care there).
Instead, he freely chose to get his care from a PRIVATE U.S. hospital, the very same hospital that treated Tom Daschle’s brother even though he too could have afforded the best care money could buy anywhere in the world (and presumably would not have hesitated to take his brother’s advice on where to go given that he’d written a book on the U.S. healthcare system and allegedly was an expert about it).
Thus, notwithstanding all the bad-mouthing of the U.S. health care system done by Kennedy and Daschle, when push came to shove and family health was concerned, their actions spoke way louder than their words.
So, let me get this straight.
They are whoring his death to pass their legislation?
That is just reprobate.
