Daily Presidential Tracking Poll -- 0bama now at -14!
Rasmussen Reports ^ | 23 August 2009 | Scott Rasmussen

Posted on 08/23/2009 6:35:52 AM PDT by ScottinVA

The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Sunday shows that 27% of the nation's voters Strongly Approve of the way that Barack Obama is performing his role as President. Forty-one percent (41%) Strongly Disapprove giving Obama a Presidential Approval Index rating of -14. These figures mark the lowest Approval Index rating yet recorded for this President. The previous low of -12 was reached on July 30 (see trends).

Prior to today, the number who Strongly Approved of the President’s performance had never fallen below 29%. Some of the decline has come from within the President’s own party. Just 49% of Democrats offer such a positive assessment of the President at this time.

At the other end of the spectrum, today’s total for Strongly Disapprove matches the highest level yet recorded. The 41% mark was reached just once before and that came one week ago today. Seventy percent (70%) of Republicans now Strongly Disapprove along with 49% of those not affiliated with either major party.

Check out our review of last week’s key polls to see “What They Told Us.” Topics include health care, the deficit, stimulus package, state polls and more.

The Presidential Approval Index is calculated by subtracting the number who Strongly Disapprove from the number who Strongly Approve. It is updated daily at 9:30 a.m. Eastern (sign up for free daily e-mail update). Updates also available on Twitter and Facebook.

Overall, 48% of voters say they at least somewhat approve of the President's performance. Fifty-one percent (51%) now disapprove.

“Going on vacation should increase his approval ratings. Unless he opens his mouth.”

In 1981, when America was in adeep Recession that Reagan inherited from the Carter adminstration, President Reagan and Nancy took a vacation in Malibu at the home of Claudette Colbert. The media filmed him taking a swim in the ocean and criticized him for “splashing around in laps of luxery while Americans lose their jobs, their homes and go hungry”

I wonder if the media will reserve the same criticism for 0bama for enjoying the laps of luxery at Martha’s Vineyardwhile Americans lose their jobs, their homes and go hungry.

I doubt it.

If there is one thing I have harped on for months it is that the fact that there are too many Republicans or conservatives (fewer now I admit)who remain CHARITABLE to Obama. Much of this is upbringing and religious instruction.

Don’t get me wrong. I am for parents bringing up their kids to respect their elders and the wisdom of these folks and for parents and churches to teach people about right and wrong but when the occupant of the WH is hell-bent on fomenting the most evil agenda imaginable on dsstroying the American economy, the American Constitution and depriving Americans of their God-given rights to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness then to be fair personal CHARITABLE attitudes and behavior have to cease and replaced by an intellectual call to arms and a political will to honor our forefathers and ancestors by pledging to defend America from the utter despair and desperation that Marxism will bring about in America.

I’d say that any regular MSNBC viewer has to fall into the “loony wacko” category. And as bad as their ratings are, I’d guess their viewership is more than 3%.

I think the “charitable” crowd is coming around.

We have to constantly remind ourselves that very few voters are as politically plugged in as FReepers are. It would be nice if they were but it will never happen.

Yet, through word of mouth and occaisional honest nedia reports the “nice guy” faction of pubbies and independants is learning the truth and growing some spine.

“My question: what can we do to stop this?”

You are right when you say the “wee-weed” zero doesn’t care about the poll numbers. However, our greatest chance of surviving this administration comes when the dem-wits in congress figure out that he, also, doesn’t care if they lose in 2010.

“Reminds me of the definition of “stupid.””

Yes, any and everyone that supports this egomaniac’s agenda is really stupid. And, I could go further by saying that they have no survival skills either.

“Echelon” and “Carnivore” and you’ll realize that our very presence here at FR has put us all on some government list.

Again? Maybe they have underlined and bolded me this time?

“What would be the biggest problem for the US military? It was mentioned earlier. Firing on its own people. SO!”

You forgot this one:
Executive Order 1666666: Disbands the US Miltary and all its associated organization.

They will only bring China in if both sides of the New Americorp reach a peace deal. If the sides do not, then they self-distruct and China is out of the picture - resupply lines too long.

I think the pieces can only be picked up AFTER the crap sprays the room.

PS: Leonid Brezhnev has been moldering since 1982. I don’t think he even got his own mausoleum.

The unspoken Dhimmi plan seems to be to kill off the irritable old folks and replace them in their coalition with more docile illegal aliens, made voters after an amnesty bill is rammed through before too much longer.

I think you are on to something there. Nothing else makes any sense to me.

Yep, for people who are supposedly as smart as the state run media keeps telling us they are, they sure do act as dense as molasses in January, don't they?

Obama's campaign manager David Plouffe, quoted today in the New York Times, explains that his boss is just "a chess player in a town with a lot of checker players". He's simply too smart to conduct his Presidency in an obviously intelligent & competent way, you see. That's their story, at least, and it would seem they're stricking to it.

Again, I have two extrapolations to make:

1. 4 to 1 we actually have elections.

2. 1 in 40 we have fair elections.

It’s amazing that 80% of the ‘disapprove’ in Rasmussen’s poll now ‘strongly disapprove’ which leads me to think that once you figure out who BHO is, there’s a very strong likelihood you will strongly disapprove.

When somebody says something negative to be about -14bama, I tend to give him an earful about all the negative things I know, thus tipping him further into the "strong negative". I suspect others do too.

As supporters drift from "strong" to "somewhat", they are less likely to defend him in conversation, making it safer for conservatives to talk about him without somebody having a screaming fit.

It will start to get interesting when his support degrades further. Blacks are likely to take any criticism of Obama personally, and get very defensive.

The examples are to the thinking of the people involved in pushing the revolution not the people being taken over.

The shooting will be done by the New Americorp personel after the US Mil is disbaned by Ex. Order and their toys given to said Corp.

Did my 4. In my case I was both a tactical and strategic nuclear target in the even of war - strategic by the 8th Shock Army and tactical by some arty brigade in Frankfurt.

I don’t think it will matter about training - just the shock value of a single tank firing on a crowd will dive the point home, not to mention a single B52 dropping its load over a point of resistance - I’m sure they could find enough trained personel in or out to work the thing.

Meanwhile as all internal US comm is shut down, they can train as needed, while thugs do the rousting of likely resistance leaders. The scare/fear factor will keep most people’s heads down, especially after the mass arrests and disappearances begin.

But if you think this crowd in office now is going to allow the likes of us to vote them out - well, I guess you are entitled to hope.

“My question: what can we do to stop this?”

Until the moderates in the Democrat party wake up and realize that the Democrats will be massacred in the 2010 elections, there is nothing to stop it.

I just don’t think they are smart enough to buy a clue, so, we will have to wait.
